Pay yourself FIRST

I've read/heard different financial experts say you have to Pay Yourself First but rarely do we ever do that. Yeah, we might go out to dinner or buy something for ourselves but I think they mean to put something in your savings account. I'd be ashamed for you to know what in ours. But at least we have one. I know folks that don't have anything put up for emergency's... we used to be like that and it was scary. We're trying to get back into the routine of paying ourselves first, again.
