You are NOT going to believe this!

We are officially homeowners again!!!!!! Yesterday as soon as we got the word we drove down to our new home. We pulled into the driveway and guess what I saw???? One by one little critters came out from under my porch! CATS!!!!!!! There were a total of FOUR... a momma, 2 kittens and her pimp. I DON'T WANT ANY ANIMALS!!!! I just sat there in the car screaming as matthew laughed and Darcy wanted to chase them. So if anyone wants any cats just let me know... they're all yours!!!!! Also we noticed that the lady had left her grill and a rocker chair with a small plaque with hers and her hubby's name... but since their in the middle of a divorce I assumed she had no use for it. Its a really nice rocker and I'm sure it would be no problem to remove the little screws on the plaque.

Okay so moving along... we walk inside and she has gotten everything out for the most part... she didn't leave garbage all over the place but we did find things left behind. My main concern was that she clean the barn/garage before closing... as stated on the contract. Matthew and I opened the door and you wouldn't believe the amount of TRASH she'd left for us to take to the dump. I was furious!!!!! First of all I do NOT have a trailer or a truck big enough to get all that crap out of there... I mean boxes, bags and trash cans full of crap!!!!!! Second, I do not have the money or time to take it to the dump!!!!!

A little while later we were inside cleaning up when someone knocked on the door. There was a nice young man standing at my door... he had been asked to come by and get her grill and rocker for her but since he saw we were there he wanted to check to make sure it was okay first. I politely said "nope, i believe everything thats here is mine now. BUT if she wants to come and get her cats and all the trash she left behind then we might can work out a deal." The guy was just as polite and said he totally understood. So when he left we pulled the rocker and the grill inside and took pictures of EVERYTHING. I was so worried that she would come back IN MY HOUSE and take the stuff. But I've already been by there today and its all still there... cats, trash and all!!!!

No nap today - AGAIN!

I put Darcy down for her nap around 12:15. A little bit later I heard her crying but I was feeding a baby so I sent Jessica upstairs to lay with her. After I finished feeding Jacob I told Jessica to just bring her back downstairs b/c she was fighting her nap. Well as she was coming down the stairs Jessica says 'she's got something oily on her'... immediately i knew why she was crying... she had gotten ahold of our KY Warming Jelly - LOL!!! Her and Jessica are in the bathtub right now:)

Update on Lisa

I wish I had something good to tell you but its only gotten worse. Her father and brother came in from out of state to be with her. They had all the family there with her today. Her liver has shut down and her kidneys are trying to shut down. She's being kept sedated b/c she's not herself when she's not sedated. Please continue to pray for her and her family. God has already decided what's going to happen just pray that whatever happens that everyone can accept it.

URGENT PRAYER REQUEST

My dear friend, Lisa, is having some major health problems. Please stop right now and say a much needed prayer for her. Things you could pray about are her finances, her emotional, physical and spiritual well being. A little over 2 years ago she had gastric bypass surgery and she's had problems ever since from the surgery. What started out as an infection led to another thing which led to another thing and so forth. I cannot count the number of times she's been admitted into the hospital in the last 2 years. She's had several surgerys but like I said when one problem is solved another one comes up. She's not been able to have any stable income and her insurance SUCKS! She has regular bills along with medical bills that are overwhelming. She needs some major encouragment and prayer. Please lift her up.

Almost Doubled

Our new house has 2200 square feet!!!!!!! This doesn't include the detached garage (barn) with the unfinished loft upstairs! Our old house was around 1500sqf. I'm so ready to get in and settle down.

We're Home

We got back yesterday around 6pm. We had a great trip. Darcy loved the pool... she was the first one in and the last one out every day! The boys liked the water also... they spent more time in the sunshade tent next to the pool. I'm really glad Jessica was able to take a friend b/c without Hope (her friend) she would have been bored.

Our closing got pushed back to Wednesday.... urg!!!!!!!!

I've been on the computer/phone most of the day trying to get all of our services set up at our new house. So far I cannot find a internet provider... I had to call some backwoods phone company for our home phone and they don't provide internet service to our area! The only one I've found is Hughes.net but they're really expensive... like $600 just to set it up then its $100 a month!!!! I may just have to settle for AOL dial up :(

I took some pictures on our vacation but I have to take them to walmart to put them on a disc before I can upload them... or i can just wait until we get into our house and then post all my pics. So until then I cannot play any of the games Mel has put on her blog :(

Jessica is at volleyball camp till 8pm... she's been there since 9am! They have it again tomorrow and wednesday but on wed they only have camp till noon.

I bought tickets to see the Doodlebops on Nov 18th for Darcy. Me, matty and Darcy will go... she loves the doodlebops! thanks heather ;)

Beach Trip

I've really hated not being able to post pictures of the kids. I borrowed my FIL's digital camera so I could take pics at the beach. I'll have to take them to walmart and put them on a disc so i can load them on my momma's computer.

We're leaving at 6am Thursday morning for Gulf Shores, AL. We'll be there until Sunday evening. Jessica is taking a friend from school. We're staying in a beach house that has its own private pool... yippee!

Monday we're closing on our house. Pray that goes smoothly.

L O S E R

Jessica stayed with her Nana last week and she was on their computer... well she decided to email everyone she knew... one of those people was her dad. Now the last time she went to his house was in MARCH... I sent him an email in May about Jessica playing volleyball and the next day he shows up at school to eat lunch with her... like whoa i have a daughter... i forgot! Since then she's stayed with her nana a few times and one of those times he came by there b/c he assumed she was going to his house too... she didn't. So anyways back to last week.... she emailed her dad and over the emails he asked her if she wanted to eat lunch today for her b'day. So thats where she's at right now. I'm curious if she hadn't of emailed him would they be eating lunch right now? probably not! And I'm not jealous... thats not it at all!!! I'm mad b/c he's the adult and he's the one that should be making AND KEEPING contact with his daughter!!!!!! When she was over at her Nana's she made the comment that she hadn't heard from him since May her nana said 'that's pretty sad jessica that your daddy hasn't called you'.... Atleast she gets it!!!!!

The last thing in the world i want is for Jessica to get hurt... but i'm telling you... I'd rather him be an active father than a half ass one! I would not have a problem with him seeing her all the time or calling her but this show up whenever crap is not right! He needs to wake up!

You know what bothers me... i know this may sound silly but it bothers me..... Who's gonna walk her down the aisle?

jessica's b'day is tuesday... she'll be 11 years old!!!! some of you remember when she was born... don't you feel old!??!

We're leaving Thursday morning for the beach... pray that the little ones ride well. We'll be back on Sunday.

On Monday we close on our house. We'll spend the rest of that week painting and putting in hardwood floors in the living room. Hopefully we'll move in the following weekend.

School starts back on August 9th.

Matthew got moved to a new job... he's going to be working at the Gateway school... its a school for young people that are too young for prision... whooo hoooo! Some guy told matthew that the ambulance is always up there... GREAT! It's by the airport if that tells ya anything!

The boys are HUGE! Darcy is a mess. Jessica is turning into a little lady.

oh and i have a knot on my head from where Darcy headbutted me last night... it was not an accident!!! She thought it was funny and kept doing it... i have a tender spot now... she's fine!

We also got to see Aunt Amy last night... she's been traveling the world for the last 6 months! She had some great pictures.... things we normally only see on the history channel... she saw firsthanded!

Shaving 101

I just got finished teaching my 10 year old (11 on the 18th) how to shave. We sat on the side of the bathtub and shaved our legs together. She did good... no cuts but we did have to redo some spots... I think she'll get the hang of it though ;)

do you remember the first time you shaved? how old were you?

slip and slide

I gotta a real fun idea for all you mom's that run out of things to do with your kids...

... poor baby oil, lotion and diaper cream all over hardwood floors and PLAY!

Thats what Darcy did today!!! She had a grand ole time!!!

I had given her a bath after lunch (normally i do this at night but b/c she had mashed potatoes and ketchup all over her i decided to do it early) and then I laid her down for her nap... well i guess the bath woke her up b/c I heard her little feet on the floor and came up stairs to check on her... she heard me walking down the hallway and she was running for the bed LOL... I opened the floor and oh what a mess!! I bout busted my butt!!!!

Kids in Public

I was reading up on Vicki's blog and came across her rant about Walmart and bratty children.

Here's my problem... I'm a mother of FOUR children... 11 years, 19 months and twin boys age 3 months. My oldest two are girls. The 11 year old is and has always been a great kid. The 19 month old is my wild child! And the boys are old enough to be wild. I've been afraid to take my little ones in public b/c I don't want them to get on someone's nerves.

One day when Jessica was really little we we went to Cracker Barrell after church. We were in the middle aisle (my parents, jessica and myself). On one side of us there was an older couple (70's or so). On the other side of them was a young couple with a small child (probably 10 months or so). The child was playing with a fork but she kept dropping it (the uh oh game)... finally the parents said its gone and she started crying. Well the old man said very loudly to the young couple... "thats why you don't bring kids in public!" Some other things were said but I don't remember them... I just know that that one incident has marked me for life.

I know when I go out to eat and someone's kid is crying then it bothers me b/c i paid for the atmosphere. Its one thing if the parents are trying to do something about it but its another when they're just ignoring it. And I do realize that sometimes you have to ignore the child... but I prefer that method at home when no one else has to hear it. I also know that spanking a child will only cause more tears.

When Matthew and I do go out to eat we try and pick a kid friendly place. But thats just going out to eat.... what about walmart? I prefer to go there alone anyways but sometimes we're already out and about and its easier to just run by there. Darcy is at that age where she sees something and she WANTS it. Of course we don't get it for her... we're not made of money LOL... but she pitches a fit. I spank her but like I said before that only brings more tears. So how are you supposed to handle your kids in public? Or are you supposed to take them in public?

I don't know if you guys remember me telling you about our trip to the bluegrass festival a few months back. We took all the kids to springville bluegrass festival... its a little over an hour to get there. We paid close to $20 to get in. We get there and first thing we do is eat our picnic lunch... which takes about an hour for us and the babies to eat. After we ate we started to walk around and look at all the boothes but Darcy started screaming her head off. We had no idea what was wrong with her but she wouldn't stop. People were giving us all kinds of dirty looks. We were trying to figure out what was wrong but we felt so helpless and b/c of other people's reaction we left. As soon as we got in the car we took her shoes off to make her comfy and thats when we realized that after our picnic we put her shoes back on and her little toes was caught under her other toe. She was fine after that. But we had already walked across the huge field and gotten everyone and everything loaded up so we just went home.

Also a few weeks back I had taken the little ones to the mall with me and my sister. The boys started to get fussy b/c they were hungry. On our way to the food court we got stopped by 2 sweet little old ladies. They wanted to see the boys but then when they started crying they weren't so sweet. They said "they're crying!" "yes m'am i know... they're hungry" "well feed em" "i'm trying to get to the food court so I can" "well you need to do something now" "I can't" finally we got away from them and headed to the food court where they ate and settled down.

I know this is a sensitive subject for everyone so please share your thoughts and opinions. I don't want to be a shut in just cause I have kids!

nothing

thats what is going on here... NOTHING. I've been on the phone the last few days getting things taken care of. I'm changing over our car insurance b/c the idiot that has it now just raised it on us.... you'd think car insurance would go down over time.... nope. I've also scheduled a tune up for Matthew's truck... pray there's nothing big wrong with it. It's been acting funny lately... like wanting to die on him at red lights. I'm also having the doctor's refile our junk through medicaid (thanks stackie). Thats about it... nothing exciting.

Saturday we went to the brocks to work in the basement some more... we went out to eat with them that night.

Sunday I cooked chicken pot pie and my daddy loved it... that made me smile. He talked about it the rest of the day.

Sunday night we ate at my sister's house.

We watched Failure to Launch at one point (can't remember which day) and TNT played 50 First Dates all weekend... I watched it 2 1/2 times ;)

We also went to Target and Babies R Us. I got the boys blue bumbo's... they love em!!!!

Gobble Gobble

I am in the middle of baking my first turkey and it may be my last!!! I wanted Turkey so I bought one.... but I had no idea how to cook it. I called my mother (she knows everything about cooking). She said to season it and rub it down with butter. I thought 'okay that sounds simple!' Boy was I wrong. First, as soon as I unwrapped it it started leaking its bodily fluids all over the place!!! BARF! Then I had to stick my hand in its butt (?) and pull out the junk that some genius shoved in it! As I started rubbing it down I started gagging... I'm not a fan of anything on a bone and this thing still had its rib cage!!!!! It was slimy and nasty. I covered it in foil - THANK GOD I DON'T HAVE TO LOOK AT IT ANYMORE - I'm waiting until 3 before I put it in the oven. I'm not so sure I'm gonna eat now.

We've been

at the emergency room!!!!! I got a phone call around 2pm. Matthew called... He said he'd gotten shocked and was going to the ER. Now if you know my husband than you know he's very quiet and doesn't draw unnessecary attention to himself. Luckily I was able to meet him there and he had several test done. They kept him there for a little while to observe him and do more test. Everything checked out fine. The doctor told him to stay home tomorrow but he's not sure if he will or not.

Here's the story....
He was at work and was going to do something with some big cable. He asked if it was alive and the other guy said he'd turned it off. Well he didn't! and my poor husband grabbed it with both hands and it went in one arm through his heart and out the other arm. He's very lucky.

Betcha

Betcha can't guess where I've been for the past 4 hours?!?!

Brock Clan

I wanted to give everyone an update on the brock family.

Matthew is working a lot of overtime these days. He's been out of town a few times to Huntsville, Montgomery and Auburn. He LOVES the house in Jemison. He will have his own space in the garage and he wants to start doing some stuff with wood. He's also thrilled about having a place to put his work out equiptment and hopefully get back in shape (which I think he's FINE).

Me... I'm very much looking forward to having a place of our own again. I'm excited about decorating the house. I can't wait to cook for my family in my kitchen! I know when I start unpacking our stuff its going to feel like Christmas. Some of our stuff has been in boxes since last september!! I'm going to have a computer/sewing room. I'm hoping to make some things I can sale on ebay.

Jessica is turning 11 on the 18th of this month!!! She's going into the 6th grade. She's thrilled about having a locker! LOL. She's playing volleyball this year. She's real dedicated and has improved greatly over the summer. She's been bugging me about shaving so i finally gave in.... but i haven't showed her how yet so she hasn't started. She's very excited about her new room. We're going to be just down the road from her grandparents (her dad's side). They want her to take riding lessons so she can barrell race. I'm all for it but Jessica seems a little nervous.

Darcy is a MESS! She copies what you say but doesn't say much on her own... she jabbers in her own language :) some of the things she says are.... Thank You, Roll Tide (i didn't teach her this!), yes (while nodding her head up and down), Heather (she said Heather for Aunt Heather while they were here), sissy and she tries to say the boys' names. She LOVES to dance. She'll dance to anything... commericials, tv shows (so you think you can dance is her favorite!), radio and even other people singing! She also loves to sing and be sung to. She dumps her plate out on the table and then eats. She's 19 and half months. She's got blonde beautiful curly hair with blue eyes.

Jacob turned 3 months on July 3rd. He's a good baby. He's got the lighter hair and more narrower face. He has a short fuse so if he starts to get fussy you'd better act quickly! He laughs out loud at everything.

Jeremiah is a good baby too. He's hair is just a tad bit darker and his face is pretty round. He's more relaxed but if you wait too long to soothe him then it takes him longer to calm down. He laughs out loud too.

Both babies sleep well. They both love bathtime. They sleep in their bouncey seats b/c when they were sick the doctor told me too but now they just like it better. They're not rolling over yet. They can hold their heads up pretty well but hate tummy time!

thats all for now.

Our 4th of July

We slept late and eventually ended up over at the Underwoods for a cook out. We were home by 9 b/c all the little ones started getting sleepy. We watched Thunder on the Mountain on TV... it was horrible. Who ever was in charge of picking the camera shots did a horrible job.... most of the time we were watching Vulcan standing on his throne (Vulcan is a statue in the city ... the fireworks are shot at his base). Then some camera guy liked to try and follow the fireworks from the launch zone up into the air.... it never worked but he kept trying! My dad was fussing the entire time which kept the rest of us laughing. He said he was going to call the TV station today to complain - LOL!

Growing Boys

Yesterday the boys turned 3 months old. Friday when I took Jeremiah to the doctor he weighted 14lbs!! And was 24 inches long. I'm sure Jacob is pretty close to it. At their 2 month check up they were 12 lbs with Jacob being the biggest.... not sure who's the biggest now.

I saw Chloe's room on her blog and I can't wait to decorate the kid's room at our new house.

Only 20 days till its ours!!!!

4th of July weekend

Friday night we rode out to our soon to be home and had one last walk thru. My parents went with us and they loved it!

We spent Saturday packing up and putting things in our storage building. Saturday afternoon we hung out at the Brock house visiting with Michael and Heather. We watched the fireworks at Kingwood. But Darcy wasn't all that impressed... she had a death grip around my neck. The boys did fine.
We came home and watched Freedomland... well i watched it... Matthew fell asleep.

Sunday our church was having a huge deal outside but we decided to skip it b/c of the heat. We spent the day looking at different things on the internet for our new house (ie, paint colors and decorating ideas). We visited Lowe's and Walmart. Matthew's really excited about his garage... He's always wanted to work with wood and now he's got the space to do it in... just not the tools. While at Lowe's he got a few woodworking magazines.... we can't afford the tools just yet ;) But I'm very excited about his new hobby... hopefully I'll get some cool stuff from it. We were saying if how we both got good with our new hobbies (his woodworking and mine being sewing) then maybe we can sale our stuff at flea markets or something. I know to some of you that sounds silly but to us it would be really fun.

Today we're relaxing. My parents both had to work so its just us here. Matthew and Darcy played outside earlier. Its kinda breezy so that helps with the heat.

Tomorrow we're going to the Underwoods for a cook out.

OH... we finally agreed to every little detail with the seller... so it looks like everything is a GO!
