Lazy Days

Sorry I haven't posted on here in a while. Everytime I try I get a error message saying i've timed out... i hate dial up! I have been posting a lot on xanga... its easier for me... although I can't post pics b/c it takes tooooooo long.

I'm getting pretty frustrated with the whole job thing. I filled out an application online 2 weeks ago this past friday. I've called them and called them back like requested but so far I get the "call us back ______." You'd think I was trying to get a job with the president... this is retail not rocket science! (not that the president and rocket science have anything to do with each other - LOL)

Last night we took the kids to a friends house for a bonfire/hayride. We had a blast. I'm really glad we decided to go. Lately its just been easier for us to stay home!

Christmas will be here soon and we're trying to set aside some money for the kids. We would really like to buy/build one of those wooden playground type things. They can get really expensive. Matthew and his Dad are weighting out the cost of building it rather than buying a kit. I really would like to have something like this for our children now so it can get MANY years of playing out of it.

Darcy's birthday is just around the corner also... November 16th. We bought her a tricycle and we're going to the doodlebops on the 18th. We're having her birthday party on the 11th. I'm not sure what theme we're going with... she has sooo many favorites. We may combine them all... Dora, Barney, Blues Clues and the Doodlebops... wouldn't that be crazy fun... hahaha.

Well I'd better go start supper. Just wanted to let you all know what was going on in our lives.

Prayer

My mom just called me... Matt's mom passed away this morning. Please pray for the Tidmore family. Today is also Matt's birthday.

Prayer Request

I received this email from my mom this morning... I'm pretty sure this is Matt Tidmore's mom.

Here's the email.....

Our son-in-law's mother, Carolyn, was taken to the hospital last evening. She had not felt well over the weekend, and her daughter thought she had become dehydrated. However, she was soon placed in ICU in very critical condition. Tests have shown liver and kidney damage.

Our daughter was called at 6:00 this morning back to the hospital by the rest of the family to get there as quickly as possible. Please be in prayer for all of them.

Thanks,
PHYLLIS

My Big Secret

I've posted on my Xanga about having a secret... I'm really excited about it but don't want to say anything until its FOR SURE! Ya know how silly you feel when you say something and then it doesn't happen. So please don't hate me for not sharing just yet. Just pray that it all works out!

Scams and Spam

Hate em both!!!!!

I've run out of formula again... I run out every month before I get anymore from WIC... I am very grateful for the help I get from WIC. They give the boys 18 cans of formula for the month... well they go through a can a day so that leaves me buying a can every day after... at $14.00 a can!!!!!! So today I looked online to see if they had any deals... I ran across and ad that said participait in a survey and receive a FREE case of formula. Well about half way through this stupid thing I realized this was just a big scam. I had to give them my email address in the very beginning. After answer NO to all of the questions about would I like info on _______ then the last part said I had to chose ONE sponsor to support.... and guess what that required money... like try _______ for cellulite... or this for that.... it was really frustrating. So I quit the survey and now my email is filling up with SPAM!!!!!!!!

Guess I'll be heading to the store after Matthew gets home ;)

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Yesterday I was in the shower (sorry for the visual) but I had this horrible feeling come over me... like my husband wasn't going to come home. Does that ever happen to you??? When Satan gets you all worked up about something and you can't shake it? Well my mind went in all sorts of directions. I started thinking about What If my husband was in an accident and wasn't able to speak... how would they know who to call? Well of course Matthew made it home safe and sound but the question was still lingering (sp). So I called Matthew Staggs... he's a Police Officer for North Birmingham. I asked him how they'd know who to call and he said.... #1. They look in the person's cell phone. SOOOOOO It's wise to put your's husband's/wife's/mom's/dad's/home number listed just as that husband/wife/mom/dad/home! the second thing he told me they do is to run the ID so they can find a home address and they send a car out. Well I suggested and he agreed that maybe we could put a RED (i say red b/c it would catch their eye) piece of paper behind our driver's license that says "incase of emergency contact ________."

I hope this information might help someone out.

Go Gators!

WIN or LOSE I'm still a fan... and I had a blast at the game. Did you see me on TV??? My mom and sister were on there too!

We left yesterday around 12:30 and got to Auburn not too longer after. My mom and sister hold season tickets with a group of friends... They were already down there grilling out. We sat ... i guess i should say stood (and the entire time too) on the 2nd row in the "AUBURN" inzone... One side says Auburn and the other says Tigers... I was just above the "N" in Auburn. The first half was GREAT... then Auburn decided to play football. I was sick by the end of the game... I couldn't believe we let them come back and WIN! We got home around 1:30am. Matthew waited up for me ;)

Today we've been very busy with our list. Matthew's almost done with his!!! I'm working on the computer room right now... can't you tell ;)

Well I'd better get busy... Jessica's out of school tomorrow for teacher work day... maybe we can do something fun.

I hate her!

I'm ready to throw down!!!!

Jessica brought home her report card today... she had a 76 in math. We were trying to talk to her about studying for math test and about learnin math b/c you'll need in the future. So she goes off on what jobs need math... so after naming a zillion and all of them needed to know math... she finally said "fine I'll be a stay at home mom" now before I could tell her that I had to know math to keep the budget and grocery shopping she blurted out "And you get a paycheck!" I laughed and said I don't get a paycheck. she said "but Ali (her stepmother) said the government pays you". OMG!!!!!!!! I'm ready to call her up and give her a peace of my mind!

Sick Babies

How many of you moms out there can say that you're kid has gotten sick from the church nursery? Now how many of you will say that you've taken your kid to the nursery knowing he/she is sick or might be 'coming down with something'?

I refuse to put the boys in the nursery at church for several reasons but my main reason is b/c I don't want them putting things in their mouths that some sick kid had in his mouth first! I'm still a little skeptical about putting Darcy in the nursery but she's in the older class and they don't really put things in their mouth... and yes I do realize she can still get sick... she's just a little too old to sit in church.

I've witnessed mom's drop off their kids in the nursery with a GREEN SNOT NOSE... now I know that green = infection! I don't think they won't me to keep the nursery b/c I'd be rejecting all kids with GREEN snotty noses or coughing kids! The hand foot and mouth disease went around a few weeks back... how stinkin scary is that!

sorry i know i've gone off on a tangent but I've got 4 kids and if one gets sick... they're all gonna get it sooner or later! And thats not going to be fun for me!

ps... nurse brandy I know you're reading this so please put your 2 cents in... also if you could give us some signs to look for with other sick children that would be helpful!

Oh and one more thing... Nurse Brandy works in the NICU and they put all babies on their tummy's to sleep b/c they sleep better!!!!!!!!!!!

I love my DVR

Matthew and I had Dish Network in our old house and loved it. But when we moved here we added the DVR (built in recorder). Most of the stuff we've recorded is cartoons! I have this bright idea that I'll record a whole bunch of cartoons and then burn them onto a DVD so I can make copies for the grandparents to keep at there house. Ya know Barney is on 24/7 at our house... Darcy just thinks thats great! All she has to say is Barney and wolla... he's on! Same goes for Blues Clues, Dora & Boots (not Dora the Explorer) and Go Diego Go! Luckily if you're watching a recorded program you can still record another program... so when Dora's on at 7pm on Thursday night I'm still able to record Survivor!

List Maker

I'm a list maker. I make a list for everything. I make a grocery list, a menu, a list of movies I wanna watch, a list of things I would like to buy with extra money and of course a list of things to do... I could probably name a few more silly list but I'll spare you.

Yesterday I made 3 list... one for me, one for matthew and one for jessica. They're list of things we really need to get done. Some of the things on my list are...

wash all the bedsheets (I normally do the kids weekly but ours goes weeks!)
SCRUB all the bathrooms
organize and clean the computer/craft room
organize my closet
organize the boys closet
get garage sale stuff ready

i'm sure i'm forgetting some stuff... most of these things can be accomplished in a days time but with 3 little ones its hard to do anything other than take care of them!

Matthew's list was more manly things like....

hang up all the stuff I want hung up (he won't let me hang things b/c i don't do it right - lol)
fix the ice maker (although he did that one last night!!!)
take back the broken weedeater!
hang Darcy's curtains and shelves
organize the garage
put together the other high chair

He does a lot of stuff around the house and his list is ever growing but I made him one just so he knows what I would like him to do ;)

Jessica got off pretty easy

organize closets
go through clothes and shoes
clean out desk drawers

So do you make list? Do you like to see things get checked off? I know i do!!! It helps me feel productive.

Weekend Review

Friday night Matthew and I grilled steaks... yummy!!!!! Jessica spent the night with my mom and they went to the Auburn game Saturday. We were home with the little ones.

Saturday Matthew had to work :( His dad came over and finished painting the hallway and kitchen. And once Matthew got home we went to his parents house for dinner.

Sunday we skipped church. We had to be at too many places at one time. Jessica had gone straight from Saturday's game to a friends house for a sleepover. We had to pick her up around lunch and then we went to Jumpzone in Pelham... its another indoor inflatable playground. It was packed!!!! And with it being a weekend there were lots of older kids!! About 45 minutes after we'd been there they called for the kids there for ______ b'day party to head to the party room... well the placed was empty!!!!! We had the whole thing completely to ourselves the rest of the time!!!! Matthew and his dad took off their shoes and raced going down the giant slide!!!! LOL! We had a blast!

After we left there we had a late lunch at the Purple Onion - yummy! And then we went to visit Matt's grandfather in the nursing home. He's there for physical therapy... hopefully not long. Right now they're trying to get him to swallow... they're using shock treatment!!!! yikes!

We ended up at my parents house for a supper and finally made it home around 9 or so.

I'm beat!

We had a play date today at PUMP IT UP and I'm tired!!!! We met Aimee, Luke(3yrs), Ian(1yr), Kelly and Will (almost 3) there. This was our first time there and we will definitely be going back!!! I'm bummed b/c its only open to the public on Tues, Wed and Thurs from 10am till 12 pm. If I hadn't have already spent so much money on the doodlebops tickets I would have Darcy's birthday party there. SHE LOVED IT! There's a HUGE slide that must be at least 50ft... my little girl went down all by herself - several times! I couldn't get her off that thing! I was a little worried about how she'd act when it was time to go but she was so tired I didn't have a problem. She slept all the way home but now she's gotten her second wind and she won't go down for a nap.

ps. I've got the dooblebops worked out... but thanks to all those that offered to babysit... I appreciate you!

I HATE FOOTBALL

I'm pissed... yea i said P I S S E D!

It is a shame when you have to plan birthday parties, baby showers, weddings and heck even funerals around FOOTBALL GAMES!!!!!!!

I bought tickets a while back for us to take Darcy to see the dooblebops for her birthday but guess which day it happens to fall on...

THE FLIPPIN AUBURN VS ALABAMA GAME!!!!!

Now I could careless... but I'm having a really hard time finding a babysitter for the boys and Jessica.

Last year I went through HELL with planning her first b'day party b/c of who was playing who and b/c of a baby shower that was also planned on that day. This year I've already been reminded that my nephew has a birthday a week LATER so I need to make sure we 'work together'... um whatever!

I'm tired of checking everyone's schedules when it comes to planning things for my children... they are way more important than a football game or a fishing tournament!

>>>>>>>>>>>>> stuff that wasn't said on my xanga >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Maybe its my fault for not checking the football schedule but when I found out it was AT Alabama, I knew my mom wouldn't be going I thought okay... maybe this can still work out... nope... they're going to a party.

Heather posted that Michael is graduating on the 19th and I know the Brocks will be there... don't blame em one bit.

I guess I shouldn't assume I can find a babysitter but heck even if I had asked before I bought the tickets I would have heard "I don't know, we'll have to see" (from my mom anyways!) b/c thats her answer for everything... I never know ahead of time which sucks for me b/c its hard to plan things!

Just a few things

My hair looks great... and it only cost my $20!

We went to homecoming at Kingwood last friday night... fun. I met Jessica's b'friend and mother... yes my kid has a b'friend... keep your opinion to yourself.

Saturday I went to meet a friend at McDonald's so we could go garage selling... she never showed up! I rode around for an hour or so then on my way home passed a sign for a tool sale. I bought matthew a planer for $18!

A little while later we wer playing with the boys and we came to the conclusion we needed to exersaucers. I told Matthew I'd try the consignment shop down the road... so I grabbed a bag of 0-3 months clothes the boys had outgrown and took off. I came back with a NICE exersaucer (sp), a cute outfit and a drum... it cost me a bag of clothes :)

That afternoon I went to a baby shower and made it home in time to watch the 2nd half of the Florida vs Bama game... GO GATORS!!!!!!!!

Sunday we went to church and then stopped by both pair of grandparents house for little bit.

Thats about it...

oh one more thing... Darcy has been getting car sick in the mornings on the way to/from taking jessica to school. she's thrown up several mornings now... today it happened and she started choking!!!!! I have to blast the AC to get her to calm down... any advice?
