Not sure where to begin

My uncle passed away on Monday. We had the funeral yesterday. It was pretty sad. He was a loner so there weren't many people there... maybe 20 total.

Sam and Tiffany came into town Monday morning around 2am. They brought their two boys with them. Justice, almost 4 and Zeke 18 months. The kids all played well together. They stayed until Wednesday... not long enough. I already miss them!!!! They had the opportunity to see one of Jessica's basketball games while they were here... too bad Jessica didn't play! LOL We spent a lot of time just talking. Its the 2nd year they've come down after Thanksgiving... a new tradition definitely!

I worked Tuesday night. Wednesday night I had to be a the funeral home. Yesterday was the funeral and last night we hung out at my parents house and visited with people. Tonight I have to work. Tomorrow my hubby is going to help my parents get my uncle's stuff from prattville. Tomorrow night I have to work. Sunday is church. We really could use some down time!!!!! But I don't see it happening anytime soon.

I've gotten a lot of Christmas shopping done but not finished. We have our tree up. The boys bring us ornaments. They're were throwing toys into the tree but they've stopped that now. We've gotten some of our outside stuff up but not all of it. I'm not sure if we'll have time to get it all up this year. I can't wait till after Christmas so I can buy MORE decorations. I love Christmas decorations... I love decorating for all of the holidays!!! In fact, I've got rubbermaid bins in the barn marked with different holidays. I'm building up my collection slowly.

Well I have some stuff to do during nap time. Gotta run!

Prayer

My mom's younger brother died this morning. He lived in Prattville all alone. He was only 50. He never went to the doctor but on Thanksgiving he called 911 because he was coughing, puking, peeing and pooping blood. He was diagnosed with sir row sus of the liver (sorry thats the only way I know how to spell it so you'll know what I'm talking about). They kept him pretty sedated over the last few days b/c he had all sorts of things hooked up to him and they didn't want him to try and take anything off. My mom was the only family he had left. She's having to deal with a bunch of stuff right now... stuff that I cannot mention here... much more than the normal having to plan a funeral. Please pray for her.

My daddy

My daddy used to buy me a special gift just from him for my birthdays and christmas. He bought me my very first piece of gold jewelry. It was a pink ice ring with matching earrings. I loved it... still have the ring and ONE earring. I lost the other one soon after I got the set and I was devasted. My dad still buys me jewerly just from him on special occasions. I got diamond earrings for my wedding day. The last thing he bought me was a heart locket necklace. One day I'll pass it down to my kids.

I need

some track lighting in my hallway. I have different pictures and stuff all down my hallway and it would be perfect there. Nothing fancy... just something simple that would highlight the stuff on my walls. I'm sure my husband could install it with no problems but its hard enough just to get him to change the light bulbs around here!!!!!! I joke with him all the time and ask him if he'd bring home an electrician to change my light bulbs!!! He's an electrician incase you didn't know. Haha :)

Ipod's

How many of you have ipods? Would you recommend it to someone else? My husband and Jessica both have one but I don't. I think I would like one but I don't know much about them. I would like the fact of having one in my car and never having to listen to a bad song on the radio hoping that a good one comes on after it. The charge on the batteries last forever. So far Matthew hasn't had to change ipod battery. OMG - I'm dying over here!!!!!!! Its late and I've got soooo much more to do. Whatever!

Have you ever???

Have you ever taken any sort of colon cleanse? I have!!! I have taken different over the counter things and they've seemed to work. I also used to have colonics done monthly by a friend that owned a health place. Those were wonderful!!! In a weird sort of way of couse :) They really helped me but I'm sure you don't want to know or need to know about my bathroom habits so I'll spare you the details. But if you ever need any advice... you'll know who to call! LOL

Do you remember...

Chia pets? I do!!! I wanted one so badly!!! I never got one though. When they first came out the only place you could buy them was off those silly commercials... chi chi chia!! Now thats going to be stuck in your head - sorry! Did you know those things are still around!!?!?! I've seen them occasionally at different places. I wonder if I should get one for Darcy bug. She'd love it!!! They have them in all sorts of characters and things... maybe I can find a Dora one! Ha!

My hubby

He doesn't ask for much - EVER. This year when I asked him what he wanted for Christmas he said he wanted soft cotton button up shirts, new strings for his guitar, itunes gift cards, a new hard hat and a few CD's. Now when he asked me what I wanted he got a long list. Most of mine were expensive things like a new digital camera, a flat screen TV for our bedroom, a closet organizer, and an ipod! LOL

Its getting dark in here!

I'm definitely in the market for some new home lighting. I need to replace several fixtures throughout the house. I don't like a lot of bright overhead light but in some places you need it... like the kitchen!!! And in my kitchen I have the worst lighting ever!!!!!!! I also would like to add some outside lights in the back yard so during these short winter days my kids can play outside a little longer! I think I'm going to call Alabama Power and see if they can add a light on one of the poles thats next to my back yard... someone told me they'd do that if I called.

I forgot AGAIN!!!

I've been meaning to buy batteries for the remote control but everytime I go to Walmart I forget. Tonight I had to switch some around from different things hoping that the right combination might make the tv remote work!!! LOL I've been to walmart at least 3 times since they went out in the remote. Everytime I'm there I walk around feeling like I'm forgetting something but can't figure out what!!! I also need to pick up some air filters but I can never remember what size!

In a bind

Would you ever consider a payday loan? I see those commercials all the time about needing money fast and getting a payday loan but I've never actually gotten to the point where I had to do it. There have been some really rough times but luckily we have family that have been able to help us out. I have know a few folks thats had to get one and they said it worked for them.

Planning ahead

There so many uncertinities in life. You never know when your life, or someone's you love, will be cut short. Are you prepared? No I'm not going to preach about having a personal relationship with Jesus... although thats pretty important :) Are you prepared to leave your family behind. Do you have a will? Most people don't. Most people have never thought about that or getting a term life insurance quote. If you die how will your spouse pay for the house, cars, children's schooling, and a zillion other things. Yeah, he or she can get/may have a job but do you think they'll be jumping back into that job so soon? There's a lot to think about. You've got to be prepared.

Being prepared

With having four kids you want to make sure that if something happens to one or both of us that they are taking care of. Right after we were married we both took out term life insurance on ourselves. Since then we've moved up the policy amounts. Its just a smart thing to do, especially if you have kids. Its not that costly and it can really pay off. You should look into it!

Any more?

People ask me all the time if we're going to have any more kids. I love my babies and if we could afford to have more than we would!!! Having my sister's baby around makes me miss them being soooooo small. I love being pregnant. I love picking out the baby bedding. I love buying baby clothes. I love buying diaper bags. Of course, having a baby is way more than that. Its a big commitment and responsibility. Its very demanding but rewarding. I love being a mom and I wish everyone could experience it.

Are you looking for...

some sexy women's lingerie or some men's lingerie for Christmas presents? I got a whole bunch of that sort of stuff when I got married but after a few years... and a few kids... I just don't have the time to do all that junk! LOL The closest thing to "lingerie" at Christmas for us is new socks for each other!!!! And maybe a new pair of flannel pajama pants for Matthew!!

Oh well to each his own... right?

Yee haw

Do you know what equestrian riding apparel is? Equestrian is horses! Its cool stuff to make you look like a real cowboy or cowgirl while you're out there riding!! Jessica rides. She has several horses at her grandparents house. She loves riding. She has her own riding apparel. She loves to dress the part :) I've always wanted a pair of cowboy boots. A found a huge outlet mall with lots of boots but none that were very comfortable. I couldn't stand the thought of wearing them until they were broken in. They were just not worth it.... cute but to uncomfortable!

Wrecks!

There have been so many wrecks on I 65 lately. Just last week there were two in one day right here at my exit. The first was in the morning. It was a car that had gone off the road, become airborne and landing sideways in a tree!!!!! The second one was around 3pm that afternoon. A 18 wheeler hit a truck pulling a camper. Matthew got held up in that traffic for FOUR HOURS! He sat less than 3 miles from our exit for 4 hours at a dead stop! And everyone was trying to use their cell phones so half the time our calls to each other didn't go through. It was very frustrating!!!

This morning on our way to Matt's parents house we saw a car spoiler on the side of the road. People are just in too much of a hurry... slow down.

A new digital camera

Thats what I want for Christmas!!! But I want one that takes the lithium battery. I've tried using regular ones in my camera and they never last long. I'm looking at a Kodack because someone recommended them to me. I found one that I want but that I might also get for Jessica. Its a Kodack m753(?). Its comes in burnt orange... its pretty. I want to make sure it takes pictures fast... I hate the delay after pushing the button... by the time it takes the picture my kids are doing something else! LOL
