Happy 4th Of July!!

I hope everyone is having a good weekend relaxing with their friends and family. I'll fill you in on my weekend so far...

Friday Night: Funeral home for Ms. Petras - I saw a lot of old friends. Man, some have changed and others haven't.... and i mean looks and attitudes! After the funeral home we went out to eat with Matt's parents. We went to the Texas Roadhouse... great steaks!!!

Saturday: I called Big 10 tires to see if we could take Matt's truck for an oil change and tires rotated and balanced... they said if we got it there NOW we might have it back by closing at 6pm. So we didn't make it the funeral :( I heard it was very emotional. We did laundry most of the day. At some point we decided we were going to watch the fireworks in Helena so we invited Tommy and Kelly to join us. I thought the playground behind the elementary school would be a great place but they didn't agree... we were already there and when they drove up they were laughing at me. I guess they wanted to be right in the middle of it all. So we packed up everything and headed to old town helena. We ended up in the middle of a not so grassy area with the fireworks right over us... really! they were falling on our heads! After the fireworks we came home. Matt and I watched Hitch with Will Smith... GREAT movie! I loved it and it was safe. He did say GD once and the F word was said once too... but other than those two slips it was clean... no sex scenes!!!! Those make me feel really akward with my husband.

Sunday: We went to church... no service just a picnic/games day. I played volleyball while Matt took care of Darcy... he pretty much took care of her all day... it wasn't really fair but i was pretty selfish. It was really hot but i was prepared. I had a blanket and a beach umbrella. Cori invited us to Jayson's grandparents house to swim so we went home and changed. We met them in pea ridge around 2 and stayed until 4:30.... Darcy was really fussy. By the time we got the car loaded she was out!!!! She slept for a long time today... I guess all the sun and fun got to her. We watched 'Are we there yet'.... pretty cute. I made a quick run to the store and now i'm home just relaxing. Kids are in bed... matt's playing his banjo and i'm just bloggin.

Tomorrow we're going to be here most of the day. We're supposed to go to Tommy's at 4:30 for dinner and fireworks.

There is so much stuff to do here but i'm trying to make this a relaxing weekend for Matthew. If I start to clean he jumps up to help me so i have to stop so he will. Isn't he a sweetie... really he feels bad if i'm cleaning and he's not.

Well I'm going to snuggle with my hubby maybe he'll serenade (sp) me. Banjo's are so romantic... yeah right!
