college and christianity

i'd heard stories about christians having a hard time at college but i always assumed it was peer pressure. i'd heard a few incidents where teachers picked on christians... but that was mainly the ones that blurted out something and knew nothing to support it. tonight in my english class our teacher... sorta out of the blue... said that not all christians were going to make it to heaven b/c of predestination. i had to bite my tongue. if a christian is a christian (acts, talks and walks the walk) then they're going to be in heaven.

later in my psy class the teacher was talking about reverends and religious people and how they tend to say all psychology is hog wash. he says they're generally talking about the tarot cards, astrology and that sort of thing. then he quickly said that he went to church and that he believed in god. it was kinda a odd thing to throw out there but it was also a pretty vague statement. we talked about evolution in his class tonight.

i've decided that i'd be quiet. not shameful of my christianity but just not ready to be the center of any debates.

I would probably do the same thing. God will let you know when it is the right time and He will give you the right thing to say. A little salt goes a LONG way!
