WHOO HOO
I just got back from my 6 week check up. I have lost my baby weight and another NINE POUNDS!!!!! GO ME! I'm so happy... I have a long way to go but I must say I was quite shocked b/c I hadn't tried to lose any.

Mother's Day AGAIN
Tonight we're going to my sister's house to celebrate mother's day with my mom. We're going to grill out hamburgers and hotdogs. I did see my mom yesterday but my sister wasn't able to. Her husband has a really large and demanding family so that had to make their 'rounds' yesterday. We went in together and got my mom a spa package from The Helena Renaissance Spa. I know she'll love it.

I'M SUCH A IDIOT!!
I've been waiting all week to watch the Season Finale of Survivor and you know what I did... I FORGOT!!!!!!! We were outside most of the day and evening enjoying our new little patio area. I came in sometime around 9 something and caught the last bit of the reunion. I wanted to throw up!! No I don't have T-VO or a VCR that works for that matter. I hate that Aras won. I watched him on the earlier show and he's attitude seemed different... maybe just being on a desserted island makes you act like a jerk.

Mother's Day all weekend long
starting tonight! Our church is having a Mother/Daughter Tea and I'm taking my mom and Jessica. I really don't think Darcy would sit through it. El (Jamie's group) is performing and giving their testimonies. I'm really looking forward to it.
Tomorrow my husband is going to fix up the patio area outside our back door. As of now our back door goes out into a really small fenced in area under the back deck. It's pretty nasty right now but he's going to clean it out for me. I'm always saying how bored I get in the dark dungeon during the day. He's going to fix it up so I can take the kids out there and get some sun light. Darcy will love it b/c she'll be able to be near the dogs... she loves dogs.
Sunday we'll go to church and then to my mom's... at least I'm assuming thats what we'll do b/c thats what we do every other holiday :) I guess I should double check.

Jeremiah the sleeper
For the past two nights Jeremiah hasn't woken up during the night!!! Yep, he's gone to bed around 10:30 or so and hasn't woken up till 6am! But Jacob is still waking up around 2ish for a bottle. But I'm okay with that... at least i'm not up with both of them and I can go back to bed quicker.
Thursday Night Recap
Thursday night is the only night that I "have" to watch TV. I love Survivor, CSI: Las Vegas and Without A Trace.
Last night on Survivor I was pulling for Terry to win the challenge. It was making me sick watching it. But its okay that he didn't win. He still made it to the final 3. I really hope he wins. I really don't think he's cocky and he deserves it the most... well i do like circe (however you spell it). I cannot stand Aras... he's so immature. Danielle annoys me. I will definitely be at home Sunday night watching it!!!!
CSI: Las Vegas was pretty good. I hope Brass doesn't die. But it seems like all the CSI shows are losing characters. At least its not Nick... he's a cutie ;)

CREEPY!!!!!!!!!
The Creepiest thing ever happened last night... okay so maybe not the creepiest ever but pretty darn close!
I was up around 1:30am feeding Jacob. I was sitting at one end of the couch and at the other end was the Banjo propped up against the wall. I had nodded off but woke up when I heard the banjo. At first I was thinking to myself 'girl you're dreaming' but then I heard it again. I was looking right at it and I could hear it faintly. It was like someone was playing it sofly. Then it got louder!!!!!! Then it stopped. But a few seconds later it happened again!!!! By this time I was WIDE awake with my eyes bugging out!!! I was calling for Matthew but he was out cold. I couldn't move! Finally I jumped up and ran to the bed (baby and all). I woke him up and told him what happened. He kept asking me the details over and over. I know what I heard but I have no idea how it happened. We tried to think of reasons why the banjo might play on its on.... like maybe a big roach (we live in the basement) fell off the ceiling and landed on it. Or maybe the moisture in the air made the strings pop. Who knows but it was definitely freaky! I made Matthew stay awake till I got both babies fed and asleep. CREEPY!

All Night Long!
I was up so early I told the roaster when to crow!
It was a long night but I'm pulling through. Its really our fault. Normally we try and keep them on the same schedule but yesterday evening they ate at seperate times which means they woke up throughout the night at seperate times. If I was smart I could have woke them both up at the same time but I don't want to get in the habit of waking them up to eat. You're not supposed to anyways. But for some reason once I got one fed then it seemed to take forever for him to fall back asleep. Ms. Darcy decided to join them a few times in the middle of the night. They've slept a lot this morning (which is normal) so I've been able to rest some. Darcy got up around 9:30ish and I made us some eggs and toast... BIG TREAT b/c normally we don't eat breakfast b/c we wake up so late. But I think I'm going to start making it b/c she's already down for her nap. I figured she could eat lunch when she woke up.

ALL GONE!
I went upstairs just a few minutes ago to get some popcorn for Darcy and myself. The cookies are GONE! Grandmaw with nibbling on one as I walked up the stairs. LOL
The Cookie Monster
Do you remember the Cookie Monster from Sesame Street? Well we have our very own Cookie Monster here at the Brock house! Yep, its none other than Grandmaw! She's a hoot! Saturday her and mr. b went to the store... they came home with two packs of chocolate chip cookies. By Saturday night one pack was completely gone. I'll confess I took 9 (yes i counted) with us on our picnic lunch but thats all. Grandmaw ate the rest. I went upstairs to get my lunch earlier and noticed the other pack had been opened. There is only a tray and half left.... she's the only one eating them!!!!! What makes this even more funnier is she's a secret eater... she waits till she thinks no one is around then she tip toes to the kitchen and eats... but she does this all day long!!!!
9:30 AM
I've been up since around 7 something... this is BIG for me! The boys have been back and forth... I've fought off the idea of going back to sleep. I know if I did then they'd wake up as soon as I got comfy (it always happens that way). So I'm awake wasting time on the computer. I could be using this time wisely by putting up the folded clothes but nah... they'll be there later ;) Instead I chose to sit infront of the computer jumping from blog to blog, xanga to xanga and myspace to myspace just waiting for someone to update - pitiful i know.
So if you haven't already read it on my xanga... Matthew may be going out of town for four weeks to work. He'll only be home on the weekends. We should know something today or tomorrow about when he leaves. The decision was left up to him (us - they're not forcing him to go). We talked about it all weekend and weighted out the pro's and con's. It's going to be hard but I think I can handle it. I feel like I have something to prove to myself.
Eveything is moving right along with our house. We're supposed to close next friday! We haven't gone to look at any houses yet. We've found some online but we've been waiting to make sure ours was going to sale. Who knows when we'll have a chance with matthew being gone.
So if you haven't already read it on my xanga... Matthew may be going out of town for four weeks to work. He'll only be home on the weekends. We should know something today or tomorrow about when he leaves. The decision was left up to him (us - they're not forcing him to go). Six Flags
Jessica is on a school fieldtrip to Six Flags over Georgia today. Pray that the weather is nice for them... all the storms we had last night are supposed to be moving into Atlanta today :( Also pray for safety... they rode in cars instead of taking the bus. I'm a little nervous b/c this is probably the first time she's gone off somewhere like this without me. I just hope whoever is incharge watches over my baby closely. The whole trip seems a little unorganized to me. They sent home 2 letters about it. The first one was sent a few weeks back... it had the cost of the ticket and lunch on it. The second one was sent home this week and it asked for more $$$!!!!! It also said what time they were leaving the school, when they planned on stopping at the rest stop and what time they'd eat lunch. It didn't say anything about what time to be at the school or what time they'd be coming back! Nor did it have any phone numbers incase of an emergency!!! I sure hope they have my number incase they need me!
Rain Rain Go Away
And I'm not talking about the rain outside thats been pouring down all night!!
Yep, it rained in the basement again this morning!!!!!! But this time I'm pretty sure it was Grandmaw's fault. She has a chair she sits on in the shower but when she's sitting down the water hits her in the face so... she points it out... which wouldn't be too bad if the shower curtain was inside the tub but its not!
I was barely awake trying to change Jacob's diaper and I heard drip drip drip... and I'm thinking no way... thats gotta be from outside. I couldn't see very well and didn't want to turn on the lights and wake up both babies but then I saw the wet spots in the carpet and I knew it was raining in the basement. I ran upstairs and just as I reached the bathroom door she turned of the water. I knocked on the door and asked if she'd gotten water in the floor and she said in this really annoying voice 'i might have.' I say annoying voice b/c it wasn't her normal voice. Then she said 'well its off now, i'm done.' (((Great... can't wait till next time!!!!!)))
THANK GOD WE HAVE A CONTRACT ON OUR HOUSE AND WE CAN BEGIN LOOKING FOR ANOTHER ONE!!!!!!!!
While I'm on the subject of Grandmaw let me tell ya another story...
The other night I was downstairs feeding one of the boys, matthew was in the garage looking for something, jessica was in her room doing homework and Darcy was all over the place ;) Darcy climbed up the stairs and was sitting on the top step jabbering. I yelled for Jessica to get Darcy down. Just as Jessica heads up the stairs Grandmaw opens the door. Darcy takes off running down the hall and Grandmaw's laughing. Now this might be funny IF I had not asked G'maw several times before NOT to open the door if she climbs to the top of the stairs. She's done this before (over and over actually). But the thing is... when I'm home alone during the day with all 3 and this happens then it makes it harder for me to get her b/c normally i'm feeding or changing a baby. Anyways so Jessica gets Darcy and by this time i'm pretty mad. I go upstairs and politely ask G'maw AGAIN not to open the door b/c it makes it harder on me when she takes off running and I've got my hands full... and in that same annoying voice she says 'well okay.'
Thats all folks!!! Its 8:30am... no chances of going back to bed for me!

HELP!!!
My VCR just died!!!!! OMG what am I going to do!!?? How will Darcy watch Barney and all of her other favorite video's? I guess we're going to have to break down and buy one... I want one of those DVD/VCR's combo deals... but I'm not sure how to convince my hubby that we need it. We have a playstation that we use for a DVD player but its such a hassel to use the controls on it.

Okay so which Game Show would you be on?
I've always been a fan of Wheel of Fortune... my mom and I used to watch it every night. Sometimes she'd let me solve the puzzle first... now I watch it with Jessica and I let her solve the puzzle first.
But now we have DEAL OR NO DEAL... Up until a few weeks ago I had never watched the show. We were eating dinner at my sisters and it came on (they're big fans). I've been watching it ever since. I think some of those people get too greedy but I don't think I would be.
I would choose to be on Deal or No Deal. How about you?

I'd have to say... Survivor. I think I would be good at... lets just be honest... manipulating people!!!! That sounds horrible but you've gotta be able to persuade people and I think I could do that. I don't know how well i'd do on some of the physical challenges but I'd train before I left for the show.
I do think that my husband would be MUCH BETTER on survivor... well he wouldn't manipulate anyone but he would definitely be able to 'survive' much better than most folks. He reads all those crazy survival skills books and junk. He also was not just a Boyscout but an EAGLESCOUT!!!! And physically he could do the challenges... and he'd be good at the mental ones too.

How many baby wipes does it take to clean up after a poopy diaper? I swear I go through some baby wipes but then again we use them for EVERYTHING!!!!!

Growing up
I watched Jessica at volleyball practice yesterday. She's one of the smallest ones on the team. I know this sounds kinda silly but I'm scared for her... not cause she's small but b/c she's so sweet. Middle school and High school can be either really good or really bad... I'm hoping her experience is really good.
She seemed a little intimadated yesterday at practice. Most of the players have already played volleyball. There's only a few new ones. I think she got a little confused over what they were supposed to be doing during one of the drills. I think Coach forgets there's new girls who don't know what he's talking about... but thankfully another girl showed her but she still had that look on her face. I just wanted to run out there and show her myself but I didn't. I got excited when she'd do good... she got excited too. I could tell she got embarrassed when she didn't do so good.
I asked her on the way home if she liked it... she does... she really does. I guess this means I gotta go buy all the gear now. You've gotta have shoes, knee pads, a ball and cool practice clothes. I want her to have all the cute stuff that says volleyball on it... I figured if she looked like a volleyball player, she'd feel like one and then maybe that would boast her confidence to play like one ;)

It's been a while
Last night out of the blue Jessica ask to call her dad. I was a little shocked to be honest... she hardly ever mentions him. I guess it was only a matter of time before she would. She hadn't seen or hard from him since the week of March 21st (spring break). I really wanted to be ugly and point out the obvious... like 'don't you think he should have called you by now?' But I didn't. I let her call. But he wasn't home! He's out of town on business and he didn't answer his cell phone. She called his mom instead. She's spending the night with her tonight.
Intervention
Did anyone watch Intervention last night? I don't always get to watch it but last night I did. It was probably one of the saddest ones I'd ever seen. It was a young mother who was addicted to heroin. Her daughter (6yrs old) didn't really want to be around her mom b/c she'd witnessed some things that had happened to her mom (for example mom's bf beat her and mom was always high or drunk). It was really sad. I cried hard. When I was a part of Celebrate Recovery I met a lot of young girls with children who didn't live with them and it always broke my heart. Some would question these girls and say 'can't you stay clean for your kids?' But its not that easy. Addiction is strong and its serious. Once you've been in a certain lifestyle for so long its hard to leave it. But I've seen it happen. And in last nights show the girl agreed to treatment, relasped once after 120 days and is back in a halfway house seeking help again. I hope she makes it.

incase you didn't notice its 2am and i'm awake! i just got finished feeding both babies and before I climb back in bed I need to make sure they're both asleep!
