He cracks me up. He's so sweet. He's talking more and more these days.

Here's some examples...

When I'm changing his diaper he points to his wee wee and says 'whats dis?' like i haven't told him over and over again! I tell him wee wee and he says yeeeeaaaah WEEE WEEE!

Matthew bought the cheap diapers the other day. They don't stay on very well. yesterday after nap jeremiah came down the stairs holding on to his diaper... desperately trying to keep it on. They've had their moments where they've taken them off on purpose and gotten spanked.. he was trying to keep it on yesterday.

He was eating supper the other night and dropped his spoon. He said "oh no, spanking spoon." We thought it was funny that he called it the spanking spoon.

Mr Talk A Lot

The boys are supposed to be napping. I can hear them jumping on their beds!!! I can actually hear Jacob saying "cannon baaaaall!"

Here's some other cute things Mr Jacob has said/done lately.

He likes to say RIGHT NOW! after every sentence. I was cute at first but I'm over it!

The other night he woke up screaming. Matthew ran in there to see what was wrong and he said "I wanna go downstairs and watch dvd cars right now!" Matthew told him no and he gave his grumpy ole man look and laid back down. It was in the middle of the night. silly boy.

Sometimes he says cannon ball when he's supposed to say peek a boo.

He puts his hands on his bottom and sniffs in when I'm changing him. not sure about that one! LOL

CowGirl!

Jessica used to ride a lot but hasn't in a while. She at one point was taking horseback lessons. They were trying to get her to learn to barrel race. The lady she was taking lessons from had a baby and took off for a few weeks and they never started her back up after that. I wish she could do it again. But it can be very expensive. Have you check out the prices for english saddles? Its an expensive hobby!

WHAT?

I've never heard of Digitial Signage. But I thought I'd try and find out what it was... here's what I learned. Digital signage is a form of electronic display that is installed in public spaces. I'm guessing what we're talking about here is the signs you see often times at banks that roll the time and temp across. Cool! I learned something new today!!!

Tell me have you seen it?

How many started humming the tune to that song when you read the subject line? I don't even know who sang it but I remember its an oldie!

Have you seen those commercials about the home security systems? One of them is where the parents have just left the girl home alone and a minute later she hears something at the door and assumes her parents have forgotten something. The next thing you see is someone smashing through the window! SCARY!

We don't have a security system... we have Goose! She barks if someon steps in our yard!

I noticed a decrease in Matthew's check this week... We received something in the mail with his stub a few weeks back about insurance. I read over it quickly and thought everything was staying the same... apparently I missed something. It may be time to get a new health insurance quote. I think ours is waaay too expensive!

productive day

i've handled two credit card issues, got a refund from MK, did some payu2blog, cleaned a little bit, made some doctor appointments and balanced the check book!

now i've got to get a shower and get ready for the boys theraphy appointments.

Survivor is tonight and I'm a huge fan!

Barq's

I posted this on my xanga but didn't post it here. The other day I was really wanting some Barq's rootbeer that I had bought the night before. But I couldn't get the cap off!!! My hands were raw for 2 days where I tried and tried to loosen it! Matthew said it was something to do with gases and blah blah blah. I thought he'd made it too tight! LOL

Cutting Cost

My hubby and I are always looking for ways so save money. We've reduced our car insurance so thats saving us almost $100 a month! I didn't understand everything we were getting when we first signed up and I kept asking if there was something cheaper. I guess I was asking the 'right' thing b/c when we met with our financial advisor he told us what to tell him we needed. I was almost ticked when I realized I could have been saving that much all along!

Almost done

The house is almost done... well the painting part on the outside that is. There's always something to be done and thats just part of owning a home. We're going to be starting on our deck next! Our deck is DANGEROUS! The wood is rotten. There's already a whole in the middle of it thats covered up by the thing from the grill. Ghetto I know! I'm happy with all the things we're able to get done. I plan on being here for a while so no moving boxes anytime soon!

Prayer request

Heather my wonderful SIL is having her wisdom teeth taken out tomorrow. But they have to go into the jaw bone too. Please pray for her. She's very nervous.

BURRRRRR

OMG! Can you believe how cold it is outside today? At some point last night my hubby turned on the heat... it smelled! This morning I didn't even want to move b/c it was soooo cold. I did my water class at the gym and the hot tub was out of service... BURRRR! After the kids went down for a nap I decided I was going to take one too. It was too cold to do anything else!!!

I know all you yankees are laughing at us southern girls complaining about the weather but I'm not used to it getting so cold so quickly!

Darcy went to the doctor yesterday. She has a upper respitory infection. She got a new inhaler and some other meds. The nurse called this morning and said the doctor wanted to see her again in 2 weeks. She seemed to sleep much better last night with the inhaler meds.

I'm back to work at the pizza place. Last week was my first week back. I've kept it to 2 nights a week. Its close to Christmas and I want to make sure we can buy everyone something nice.

Jessica has a basketball tournament Friday night and Saturday... yes on Halloween! We're going to skip the game to take the little ones trick or treating. I'm letting Darcy wear one of her dress up gowns and I'm going to dress the boys as cowboys. I was going to get them a dinosaur costume but I waited too late. We'll have soup and invite his folks over. My parents have other plans.

This past weekend Matthew and his Dad worked on the house some more. They ran into a little problem with some major rotten wood but got it fixed! I'm hoping we'll have it finished soon... at least the front so I can take a picture. There's just a small section on the back to do.

Well thats all from me. Gotta get ready for work!

Craigslist

Yesterday when I had posted about wanting a Futon I had just found one on Craigslist for $60. But my hubby said I couldn't spend $60 right now. But I had already responded to the add. So then I had to go back and tell her nevermind I couldn't get it. Here's the emails back in forth.

Me: Nevermind... hubby said no. thanks anyways! if you end up just wanting to get rid of it then let me know

Her: Hey nicole tell your hubby your getting it anyways lol. If you still want it i will be there at 6:00.

Me: LOL... thanks! He did the whole do we really NEED one or do you just want one? Then he said well you know $60 will buy a few christmas presents! We have a fall festival to go to tonight... can I get it tomorrow?

So I was really excited that she had just decided to give it to us. This morning I called her and got directions. We both joked about our hubby's telling us we can't spend money. Then she made a reference to it being a good deal for $60. And then i said something about being grateful that she would just give it to us. We eventually hung up.

A minute later I got to thinking about what she said about being a good deal for $60. I called my FIL (who i'd suckered in to going to pick it up for me) and went over the emails with him. He said it sounded like she was giving it to us. Well I wanted to make sure so I called her back and just point blank asked if she was giving it to us. Apparently she was making a joke about just tell my hubby I was going to get it anyways... as if i wasn't going to listen to him. I took it as she'd decided she didn't want to fool with it anymore and just wanted someone to come and get it. We both laughed about it. It was all in good humor. I guess its better to have someone spell it out so there's no misunderstanding! LOL

HELP!

I've gotten my finanial aid.... whooo hooo! Now I just have to register for my courses. I've already decided to take Eng 101 and Psy 200. Now here's where I need your help. I can take both of these classes ONLINE. But should I? I'm not really sure. I've never been to college nor taken any classes online. I spend hours wasting time on the computer so I know I'll have time to do it. I just do know if I can do it by myself without a teacher explaining and teaching. So.... any and all advise is greatly needed and appreciated!

my sicky poo

this was actually taken a few weeks back when everyone was sicky. He came home from work one day and I made him lay down. He's feeling much better these days :) I just wanted to share my sweet sicky poo picture of my hubby.

Winter Cleaning?

I've heard of a good spring cleaning but is there a phrase for Winter Cleaning? Ya know that time of year where you clean out closets and toy boxes to make room for Santa. I've got to get busy on that or else come Christmas morning I'll just panic.

I started reorganizing my office the other day. I'm trying to make room for all my arts and crafts stuff and Mary Kay stuff. I have a big box of all sorts of computer things, mouses, HDMI cable, and other random things. I don't know why we keep all that junk but we do. I have parts of an old computer in that closet too!

Staci was asking on her blog for alli reviews. I've never used it but I've seen it advertised on the TV. I know walmart for a long time had a big display set up in the middle of the aisle. It didn't seem very expensive but I'm not sure how long the supply last. The commercials show amazing results but I don't know anyone personally thats tried it. Do you?

Sweet Girl

This morning it took a bit of coaxing to get Darcy bug out of bed. Finally she was up but slowly moving. She told me she couldn't go to school b/c she was sick and then she gave a few good coughs to try and convince me. It was funny. I told her she just had a tickle in her throat that she wasn't sick. She did okay after that. Right as it was time to load up she looked at me and said in her very sweet Darcy voice "mommy, i'm going to miss you today." It was soooooo sweet!

Fall Break

Well the girls have been out for a week and 2 days. They go back tomorrow. Its been nice to have them home but they're BOTH ready to go back to school. Darcy keeps telling me over and over that she misses her boyfried. DARCY not Jessica! LOL I tried to have him over one day for a play date but it didn't work out. Matthew and I are actually friends with his parents. They live just down the street from us. But the day they were supposed to come over it was raining. We'll have to reschedule it.

I'll admit

I have an addiction. This is serious okay. The first thing in getting help is admitting you have a problem. I'll admit I have a problem. I have a problem with office supplies. Pens, markers and highlighters. Okay I've said it! In the past I've STOLEN those little promotional pens at the bank or whereever b/c I liked the way they wrote. I know... its bad. But I'm seeking help.

never ending

I love all the work we've done on our house since moving in 2 years ago. We've rearranged the kitchen cabinets, put in hardwood floors, added a privacy fence, painted (a lot!), and now we're doing the outside. There's still stuff to be done in the kitchen like replacing the countertops, doing the backsplash and eventually putting in new delta faucets. But for the time being I'm okay with what we've done. I told Matthew the other day that it was almost time to repaint the whole downstairs... he laughed and said 'one thing at a time!'

I can do it!

I've decided to get in shape. I want to do things outdoors with my family. We have 2 mountain bikes in our garage that just need tire patches. I'd love to score one of those cool bike thingys that Staci got.... we could pull our kids behind us and have a good ole time.

I'd like to take our kids hiking. Matthew loves that sort of thing but I've never been up for it b/c I'm so out of shape. I'm hoping by going to the gym I can build up some endurance. I like the idea of going hiking. Maybe one day we can do all day hikes... then I could get one of those cool Zero Halliburton backpacks! I'm looking forward to going to the mountains for Thanksgiving. Maybe I'll be up for some hiking then!

FINALLY

We moved the light fixture around in the kitchen so now we have better lighting. It was off centered and some of the bulbs were blown so now its brighter in there. I actually helped Matthew move it! Go me! I had to hold it in place while he did something and I was complaining that my shoulders were sore... he said imagine doing this all day!

Stand Still

Thats where my working out is at the moment. This past week was Fall Break. The girls are out today and tomorrow for Teachers Work Day. I did managed to go to the gym once last week but thats it! I feel like a slacker. Not even the best diet pill ever could make me feel good at this point. I will get back on the ball... thats a promise! And I'm sure my body will realize I've been slacking when I get back to the gym!
