Sometimes I lay awake at night and think of all the things I want to do to my house. And often I hear myself say "when I get it the way I want it"... well do we ever get it the way we want it? Or are we constantly doing more things? Last night I rambled off a list of things to Matthew that I would like to do... things from paint the trim to paint furniture and all sorts of things in between. Don't get me wrong... I'm very happy in my new home... and I love all the things we've already done but its like my wheel never stops turning! A lot of it takes my husband actually doing it... but I'm going to see how much I can accomplish my own.
Last night I cleaned out and organized my closet... now I can actually use it as a closet instead of a place where all the unpacked boxes hide out.

My mind is always "redecorating". There is no telling what my house would look like if I had the $ to do it all.
I learned how to scrapbook "Fast" I use to take about an hour per page, now I've really cut it down to about 20 minutes per page. I can do a whole book in one sitting. Creative Memories has a packet that you buy that helps you lay out everything at one time, then you put your pictures down and colors and then you get to work. Its much faster.

I would love to be as creative and talented as Melanie, but I will take what the Lord gave me!
As far as redcorating... I don't have that skill. I like my house the way it is. I don't mind all white walls. LOL. I know that I won't live in this house forever, and usually when you sell a house they don't want color on the walls, so its just better this way. I would like to build a deck outside, but again- hard to invest time and money into it when you know you won't live there too much longer. We will out grow our house before I will ever have the money to build a deck! Or paint the livingroom! LOL. I've always like the way you did things though. Looks "rich"- mine looks more like "yard sale"
We have been here almost 21 years and I am still doing or what to do something to make it look better. I don't think we EVER get finished.
Hank and I just made a LOOONNNNGGG list of things we want to do to our house. We are gonna try and do some of the simple stuff this weekend and them maybe buy some paint! :)
Hahaha...You don't need to come take down my tree. Thanks for asking. That was sweet. But you could always send Darcy over, it wouldn't take her long to do it for me. wink wink
