My Accident

About a week ago I left one night to get groceries. On my way out of the neighborhood I heard a thud against the passenger side of the car but I looked and didn't see anything. I just assumed it was the carseat that matthew had forgotten to strap in. On my way back from the store I started to make the turn where I had heard the noise AND THERE IS WAS.... It was dark and I couldn't tell exactly what it was but I knew it was BIG. I went home and told Matthew that I had hit something and I wasn't sure what. He walked down to the end of the street and came back for a flashlight b/c he couldn't tell what it was... He just knew it was BIG. He thought it was someone's dog but couldn't tell for sure. He said there was blood everywhere! Finally he figured out what I had hit. I went back with my camera...




Here it is.... It's hard to tell the size in this picture but this possum was at least 3 feet long. When I came back home from the store its tail was straight but it had curled up by the time I'd gotten back with the camera.
