I need a straight jacket!

Darcy was taking a nap... or so I thought

After being in her room for a looong time she finally came out

I hadn't heard a thing... in fact I said "darcy that wasn't a very long nap" she started coming down the stairs and I couldn't tell exactly what I was seeing at first

then it hit me! it was POO! I just broke down.

Miss Me!

I'm taking a leave of absence from the blogging world. I've tried to be pretty faithful at updating and leaving comments on other blogs but its pretty disappointing when you don't have comments.

And to be honest... I'm pretty burnt out on trying to keep up with friends who don't put any effort in keeping up with me. So I'm going to take some time to reevaluate (sp) things. I have a lot going on in my head but I don't feel like explaining anymore on here.

And it just so happens to be that 2 years ago I started this thing.

WHAT A MESS!

sometimes I let darcy make a mess b/c i know it will keep her busy for a few minutes and give me a chance to take care of business. but then when its time to clean up the mess i'm thinking 'was this worth it?'

today i was having to call our phone company again!!! they mess up our bill every month. today darcy pushed a chair to the fridge and got a fudge sicle out of the freezer. she had it all over everything but i let her have at it b/c i needed to get my bill straightened out.

earlier she mushed sliced cheese all over the coffee table... I was trying to eat so I let her. cleaning it up was not fun.

yesterday i put her in her bed b/c she said she wanted to take a nap. well i stepped outside to check on the fence (the boys were taking a nap too). when i came back in I heard footsteps in my bedroom. i found her in my closet surrounded by all the easter goodies. she thought she'd hit the jackpot!

just after that i put her back in bed and got on the computer... a few minutes later she came downstairs and I went in the living room to find her covered in powder. i'd thought she'd gotten into the baby powder (she loves it) but turns out she'd gotten in the LAST can of formula that we had in our bathroom. she had it everywhere. it looked like she'd sprinkled it around the toilet seat like fairy dust!!!! i couldn't even clean it up b/c i was so frustrated. i just close the door and let her daddy take care of it when he got home. actually i'd forgotten about it until he'd gotten home and went upstairs to change.

Happy Anniversary to ME!

Today is our 6 year dating anniversary. 6 years ago today we went and saw the dropkick murphy's (thats who's playing in the background). We've been together ever since.

yada yada yada

My father in law brought over about a dozen packs of creme filled chocolate cupcakes b/c if he kept them at his house grandmaw would eat them all. So now guess who's sneaking them every chance she gets.... NOT DARCY - ME! Matthew's uncle owns a couple of chevrons so when its time to clean off the shelves we end up with sacks of stuff.

Matthew worked all weekend but I managed to talk my parents into coming over Sunday for lunch... and then they stayed for dinner. I enjoy the company.

The guys started putting up my fence yesterday. They're finishing it today. YIPPIE!

I went to Lowe's last night to look for patio furniture. I found some at walmart.com but so far I haven't found a store around here that has it. And if I order it then it will cost me over $150 in shipping fees! Lowe's was waaaay more expensive.

Jessica went with me to Lowes. On the way there she asked if she could ask me some questions. The first one was why did I want to have her? I told her that she wasn't exactly planned but I wouldn't ever change a thing about it. Of course I went in to detail a little more so don't go off thinking I told her she was a big mistake. Her next question was.... are you ready for this? She said "where were you when you had me?" I said "in the hospital." She said "no, I mean when you had sex!" I about wrecked the car! I wasn't ready for that one. I told her to ask me again in about 20 years!

Darcy threw up again this morning. I tried packing her some grapes and apple juice to help prevent it but she didnt touch em. I don't know what else to do for her. She's such a good sport about it but I feel so bad for her. I know she gets frustrated.

I found some people on myspace.... people that I hadn't talked to in years.

Goose hides in her crate during the day.... she comes out to play for a little while but then goes back to her crate. She gets along good with the kids. She loves going outside. She sleeps through the night without messing in her cage. She's had fewer accidents inside. She barked yesterday.... only the 3rd time i've heard her bark!

The boys love vienna sausages diced up. And I feed them peas and carrots. I feel like they're way behind other one year olds... I know Darcy was doing more at this age. Its my fault b/c I don't have time to spend one on one time with them. I feel guilty.

HAPPY ST. PATRICKS DAY!!!

This is probably one of my most favorite holiday! I just changed how I celebrated it. Tomorrow the kids will all wear their St. Patty's Day shirts from Old Navy. Daddy's working but once he gets home will listen to some irish folk music and have fun with our kids... maybe even eat some green jello!

One Word - Productive

I had someone come by today and clean up our yard. It was growing out of control - the weeds were horrible! The leaves had covered the entire front yard. Matthew has been working weekends and it looks like he'll continue that schedule up until at least the boys b'day party. He doesn't have time to do what needs to be done in order to get ready so I hired some folks and I'm really glad I did. They did an amazing job and it was way cheaper than what I had expected. I'm telling ya... everything is cheaper in chilton county!!!

We're also having the privacy fence installed next week. This will make it a lot easier on me with 3 little ones running around. We decided to include the back driveway and the barn in the fence so it gives the little ones a place to ride their trikes on the cement instead of the grass. They'll have it up in TWO DAYS!

We've got a lot of ideas for a play area back there and I'm feeling more comfortable about being here with them during the summer. I don't want anyone to get bored and the yard will be a place for EVERYONE to enjoy the outside.

Jessica got a volleyball net for Christmas and we'll finally put it up. She's also got a basketball net on the back driveway. We hoping to buy an above ground pool and put a sand pit somewhere. I've even thought about a trampoline with an enclosure but we may have to wait on that one.

We're lucky to have such a nice back yard with plenty of room to roam. I'll post pics when we get everything together.

Springy

I need a new look to my blog but I don't have a clue how to do it. I have a friend that does really good stuff but I hate to ask her b/c it takes sooo much time. wink wink ;)

Birthday Party

The boys birthday party is March 31st. I've already sent out the invitations now I'm just waiting for my RSVP's. I put my phone number and email adress on them but so far I've only gotten one RSVP. I know grandparents and such will be there but I'm not sure about the rest. I took this time to invite some of my extending family b/c they'd been talking about visiting our new house. If everyone shows up its going to be packed! I'm hoping to have everything outside but I don't have a back up plan if it rains! And I forgot to put on the invite to bring lawn chairs.

I was trying really hard to plan but I failed! I did order the boys some CUTE shirts that have 2 twin boys on the front holding ballons that says "double the trouble double the fun guess who's turning one" and it has their names at the bottom. Too cute - I know!

I really don't want to have a 'theme' but I'm kinda lost at what to do. I wanted just to have bright colors and maybe some animals but I can't find anything that isn't related to some cartoon! I guess I'll be making a trip to Party City. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I need to order the cake! But what do I tell them I want???? Oh I need Mel to come help me... she's so creative and organized! Ya know Melanie... maybe you should go into business doing something like event planning! LOL I'd hire ya!

Bumblebees

I have a yard FULL of them and I've spent some time researching how to get rid of them. They are everywhere. Darcy and Goose like to chase them and it scares me to death! We just came in from outside and I know there was AT LEAST a dozen of them flying around! I need to invest in some Deltamethrin Dust, a crusader duster (to apply the dust) and bee freeze. Guess I'll be making a run to Lowe's soon.

Weekend in Review

Weekend??? What??? It didn't like a weekend to me! Matthew worked most of the day Saturday. We got our puppy that afternoon and stayed home Saturday night. We actually rented a movie from PPV but it was horrible!!! I suggested that we rent Sherrybaby b/c it was supposed to be about a girl that served time in prison for drugs and she'd gotten out and was trying to get her daughter back while straightening out her life. It was had FOUR NASTY SEX scenes. Not just the 'in the bed going at it' but more like nasty everywhere embarrassing sex scenes that forced a pillow over my face! I wanted to turn it off but I really wanted to see if this girl got her life together. I thought it might be an encouraging movie for the people at Celebrate Recovery (the rehab program I volunteered at for a while). I would have to say its not approciate!!!! And it wasn't very encouraging in the end! I felt like we'd wasted a good opportunity to have spend some time together and relax. But we always make the most out of our time together.

Sunday Matthew worked all day!!! He didn't get home until after 7pm! My dad hung out with me all day. My mom went to New York with my sister and nephew b/c he had another call back for an audition for a Jean campaigne. They'll be back Tuesday.

Jessica had a birthday party event that lasted from Friday afternoon till Saturday night. Then she spent Sunday with her other grandparents.

The time change has really messed up the little ones schedule.

Seventh Heaven

We're officially a family of SEVEN!

We got a puppy from the Shelby County Humane Society. Her name is Goose and she's a finnish spitz. She's soooooo good. I haven't heard her bark yet and she stayed in her crate all night without an accident. We took her out to potty around 3am b/c she was moving around and then again at 7:30. She's sweet and the kids love her! I gave her a bath today so now she smells much better! I'll post a picture as soon as I replace my batteries :(

DSL ROCKS!

So I'm officially hooked up! I love it but unfortunately I don't have a lot of time to play.

Jessica is at a friend's house tonight. She's spending the day with her tomorrow and then they'll have a b'day party tomorrow night for her. I have to pick her up in Pelham at 9pm! Sunday she's spending the day with her grandparents (her dad's parents).

Matthew and I took the kids for a walk around the neighborhood today and we were able to meet some more neighbors. We came back home and ordered take out from the chinese place down the road. We'd never eaten there before but figured we'd try it. We both LOVE stix but its too far to go and not somewhere we'd take our kids. Anyways... we loved the food. It was great and cheap!

Here's something that might surprise some of you. I love being out here. I love the simple laid back atmosphere that comes with living in the 'country.' I can get to the dollar store, piggly wiggly, chinese restaurant, doctor's office, dentist office and many many more places in less than FIVE minutes. I love it here. EVERYONE is sooo friendly and laid back.

New Shoes

Darcy got a pair of orange crocs, pink camo japanese brand shoes (I LOVE THESE SHOES) and the boys got the disney crocs. Jessica also got a new pair of lime green crocs but she had them on.

My Day

Took Jessica to the orthodonist today to talk about braces. She's getting them next month. Wow, I didn't expect them to be soooo expensive! If all our kids have braces then we will have spent $20,000 on beautiful smiles!

After the orthodonist we stopped by Cobblestone shoe store b/c they were having a HUGE croc sale. I got Jessica a new pair - lime green! I got Darcy a pair of brown mary janes and a pair of the regular orange crocs ($10) and I got the boys the black disney pair with the red strap (onsale!). I did not by myself any... maybe one day but its hard for me to spend money on myself esp when my kids need things. I ordered Matthew some new tennis/hiking shoes this weekend from zappos.com and I got darcy a pair of really cool camo pink japanese brand shoes. I ordered them Saturday night and they came in yesterday! wow and it was FREE shipping!!!!

We had another regular dentist appointment this afternoon for Jessica. She has to get cleaning and all that stuff before the braces. I like the new dentist... he's down this way and really friendly. He also works late nights so people with jobs get see him after working rather than taking off.

Speechless

I'm sitting here thinking about what just happened and I'm simply amazed at God. He has never failed me and I need to remember that instead of panicing every time the boat rocks.

I can never tell anyone what has happened but just know that God really stepped up to the plate through a very unsuspecting source. I'm truly grateful.

Much to say

I've been pretty productive today. I've made some much needed phone calls... not to friends but to take care of things I've been putting off. For example... I've scheduled Jessica a orthodonist appointment and I'm waiting to hear back from the regular dentist to schedule a cleaning for the rest of us. I've made many more phone calls but you get the idea of what I've been taking care of.

The other night I had a "moment" where I just needed to get away! So I tried to find someone to go with me but realized I didn't have any friends... or friends that lived close anyways. So I went to Walmart alone and spent 2 hours there. I went down every aisle and repeated some ;) I had Jessica's ipod with me and at times I caught myself singing outloud! LOL I got many looks... but I didn't care. I was in NICOLE MODE! I came home with bags full but only bought myself chapstick, socks and vitamins! And no I didn't buy groceries!!!! LOL

The vitamins I bought are called stress tabs with energy. I've taken them 2 days now and either its in my head or they're really working! I wanted to buy something for weight loss but my husband is very supportive of diet pills so I refrained. Although, when I told him about how I almost bought some he said "whatever makes me feel better" soooooooo I might go back and get some ;) For those of you who don't know me or didn't know years ago I've gained A LOT of weight... when I first met my husband (6 years ago) I weighted 150 and now I'm at 207! I make excuses of why I can't lose the weight but really I'm just lazy! I eat when I'm bored and you'd think with 3 little ones constantly attached to your hip I wouldn't have time to be bored but I snack when they snack! And I don't excersize AT ALL! I take my kids outside and I SIT and watch them play. But I want to change all that so I'm taking baby steps in that direction.

Matthew gets off at noon today so I'm hoping to run some errands. While taking Jessica to school this morning I was listening to Magic 96 (which I do every morning). They had some guy... didn't catch his name... that was at the comedy club tonight and tomorrow night... he was hilarious and not at all crude. I really want to see him. I've been there once for Matthew's work. I'm not even sure if we could get a babysitter but I think it would be fun to go.

Let me clarify... I'm sure we could probably get a babysitter. His parents, my parents or my sister but the thing is we need them soooo much for things that we HAVE to do that I almost feel bad for things we just WANT to do. And I could hire one... if i knew one but I don't know if I trust some teenager to watch my kids. And after you pay for a babysitter than you don't want to spend any money going out!

Does Beth still read my blog? Beth from North Alabama? For some reason I was thinking about her when I was trying to fall asleep last night. Are you out there? Does anyone remember her blog address?

Well I'd better get back to the little ones. Darcy is napping but the boys are in the saucers crying... Barney is over :(

Hope I didn't take too much of your time. Comment please.

OBTW... Did anyone catch survivior last night... love that show! I hope poppa smurf is alright! I can't believe they chose to vote someone out... I thought they were a pretty tight group so I was surprised by them voting out... and then the girl they voted out... shocker! I'm staring not to like Rocky... his mouth is going to get him in trouble! The little asian guy cracks me up!!!!!!! And one more thing... what makes FOX thing we want to dedicate 3 nights to American Idol!?!?!
