I'm taking a leave of absence from the blogging world. I've tried to be pretty faithful at updating and leaving comments on other blogs but its pretty disappointing when you don't have comments.
And to be honest... I'm pretty burnt out on trying to keep up with friends who don't put any effort in keeping up with me. So I'm going to take some time to reevaluate (sp) things. I have a lot going on in my head but I don't feel like explaining anymore on here.
And it just so happens to be that 2 years ago I started this thing.

I'm a faithful reader, but probably a less faithful commenter. Especially lately. I understand feeling burned out though! I'll miss your funny and sometimes brutally honest posts!
I stopped blogging for "others" a long time ago. I started blogging for me and my family. If anyone else wants to read- fine, but I don't worry when no one comments. I don't try to use it to keep up with others, -that is what Myspace is for. But I just learned to love having a place where I can type out my thoughts, my day and my life- its fun to go back and read post from the past. Especially on the same day a year ago- or two years ago. August will be my 3rd year of blogging. I love it. I don't like Xanga much anymore, but that again was just to reconnect with all the old MC's- but through that I've met some pretty cool people. So anyway- don't be discouraged. If you enjoy Writing like I do- then you will be back. Don't go by comments that you get- My In laws read my blog every day and don't leave comments- and so does my mom- and she doesn't leave comments either. I do it so they will know what is going on.
Okay sorry for the novel.
I'm like Jamie- I miss your stories!
I ditto what Staci said. It used to upset me, that people would tell me they read my blog, but never commented. I almost shut it down a few times. Or made it private. But it's my blog & I created for me. When I started blogging almost 3 yrs ago, no one read it & that was fine with me. I have more comments now from people that I met in the blog world, than I do from actual people I know in person. I used to get up to 50 hits a day on my blog, now it's not as many. But I would still share my thoughts & interests if I got no hits a day. It's a form of self expression.
You also have to take into a count that you post on your xanga & myspace too. So, if a friend has all of those, they are reading all of them. I do. But am I supposed to comment on all? I seem to comment on your xanga more, because I check it first, in my routine. ;) Either way, do what you feel is best. But do it because it's what you want to do, not for others sake.
Hey- haven't talked to you in a few days. Miss you!!!! Hope you had an great weekend!
