We had to be at Brookwood at 5:15... we were just a tad bit late ;) The storms hit about the time we got off onto Hwy 31 in Vestavia... the bottom fell out as soon as we got out of the car at the hospital.
We (Matthew, myself and of course.... Heather) arrived bright in early and were greeted by friendly nurses. Lisa was my nurse. Lisa hooked me up to all the little machines but Jacob was giving her fits. He wouldn't stay still so she was having a hard time getting his heartbeat. Around 6:30ish Matthew and Heather left the room in order for me to get my epidural. Between starting an IV in my hand and having the Epidural those were the most pain I experienced as far as having the actual c-section done. After the epidural I had some problems with my blood pressure. It dropped to 80/40 and they had to get it back up. After that I was taken into the operating room where Matthew later joined me. By this time I was beginning to go numb but still having a little bit of problems with my blood pressure. The doctor's came in, Dr. Adcock who was assisted by Dr. Ross, and they began. It really wasn't bad at all. I talked pretty much through the entire thing.... I was worried I'd say something to embarrass myself but as far as I know I was okay. I could feel them working on me but I couldn't actually feel any pain. It was pretty painless. The boys came out fine. Jacob was butt first and was born at 7:29am at 7lbs 4 ounces 20 inches long. Jeremiah was born at 7:30am at 7lbs and 12 ounces 20 inches long as well.

cograts on those two beautiful boys. How was the whole c section thing. how are you feeling now? are the boys identical, and if so, what are you guys doing to tell them apart? just wondered, cuz some of the pics said you weren't sure which one it was. congrats again.
