YUMMY

I made this the other night and it tasted as yummy as it looked! Its brocolie & carrots seasoned, chopped potatoes that were baked in the oven... i sprinkled S&P, cheese and added melted butter. The chicken was marinaded in Worshierer (sp) and the last few minutes that it was baking I added cheese.

NEW SONG

You can unmute my blog now... I changed my song :)

I love this chick!

this and that

Earlier I was trying to talk on the phone and I couldn't carry on a conversation b/c I was chasing my kids in every direction!

I think I'm going to start going to the bible study at my church on thursday mornings for women... they have childcare but I'm not sure how well Darcy will do with it.

Jessica's going on a trail ride in tenn. with her grandparents and aunt & uncle.

Volleyball has started up again. Jessica can serve over handed and can actually get it over the net! BIG ACCOMPLISHMENT! Its a lot harder than it sounds... you should try it!

My little human tape recorder cracks me up. Sometimes she'll ask to do something and I'll say 'in a little while'... and there for a while I'd continue that sentence with 'when daddy gets home' so now Darcy will ask me something and I'll say in a little while... she'll quickly add 'when daddy gets home' its funny but sad. A lot of times she wants to do something that requires a lot of attention from me and with the boys becoming more and more mobile its just easier to put if off until Matthew gets home.... ie swimming in the baby pool.

Jessica looks more grown up to me with her braces on... its sad. She's counting down the days until her 12th b'day... we told her she could wear makeup when she turned 12... sure wish we could move that back a few more years.

The boys are cutting their molars and it has been miserable. They have a mouth full of teeth... they could probably eat a steak! Jacob loves food... anything! Jeremiah is picky. He only likes stuff he can feed himself. I've had a hard time keeping it 'new' so far they eat grilled cheeses, eggs, vienna sausages, veggies, pasta pickups, chunked bananas, raisins (yogurt covered and plain), oatmeal, jello, cheerio's and grits.

Darcy eats all day long! Everytime I turn around that kid is asking for a snack! We don't eat much junk food... occasionally i'll buy puff corn but for the most part the eats fruits, chex mix, raisins, pretzels, granola bars, yogurt and fruit pop sicles.

well i'm probably boring you with all this... the kids are watching a new baby einstein video and I should be cleaning up the kitchen... guess i'd better get to it!

Dunk

Everything gets thrown in the pool... I've gotta keep a close watch on her or she'll have everything in the yard in there with her! She had her lattern in there... hopefully it will still work.

WHOOO HOOOO

I am glad that is over with! Don't get me wrong we had a blast just hanging out all day and we got some major S U N not to mention we made over $400 total!!!!!!!

Earlier this past week my good friend, Aimee, called me and asked if we could have a yard sale at my house. Her husband her are selling their house and moving into a new house this week. She really needed to unload some junk but wanted to see if she could make some money off of it. Well I had been saving up "stuff" for a yard sale but wasn't really ready to do it yet. I said "sure!" and we threw it together in a few days time. Which I'm sure with most people that would have been plenty of time to do it but with her packing and me at home with 3 small ones... it was tough finding the time.

She made a few trips to my house in the week. My father in law caught wind and he offered to bring some stuff over too.... the best part is that I got to keep the money earned off of his stuff! Finally Friday night we started setting stuff out, hanging clothes and sorting through a bunch of junk. We hung our signs and let me tell ya.... we got honked at as we hung our signs.... those poor young boys didn't realize we were 2 old hags complete with husbands and children! It was dark... i give em that much! Anyways we agreed Friday night that we needed to be start getting the rest of the stuff out by 6am so that we'd be ready at 7am when the gates opened (literally). So at 5:30 Jessica and I are up and eating breakfast.... at 6am we're in the barn getting stuff ready... at 6:30 people are circling my house - NO AIMEE... at 6:45 my gate has cracked open so I send Matthew to close it but before he can get there people are coming in - STILL NO AIMEE... 7am my mom stops by and offers to help. Finally around 7:30 Aimee arrives... by this time we've had a dozen people already come by! Of course I gave her a hard time... its so no like her to be late for anything! One of her boys had messed with the alarm clock and it didn't help that she'd taken some benedryl before going to bed.

We had a GREAT turnout. Between the two of us we have SIX kids so if you were looking for baby stuff you hit the jack pot when you got to our yard sale. We sold almost all of our kids stuff and what was left over we took to the consignment shop in thorsby and she bought the rest of it. Aimee didn't have to take any of her stuff back home... what little stuff we have left over we're going to drop off at the hannah home box down the street. We were satisfied at the end of the day.

The ONLY big baby thing I didn't sell was my Graco travel system stroller. If you know anyone that might need one send em my way. I'm hoping to get as close to $100 if at all possible. I know that seems a lot but its in great shape and very cute :) I think I'm going to adverstise it in the mule trader. If you're around here and you've never picked one of those up you don't know what you're missing! www.muletrader.com

Oh... I almost forgot.... you should always wear sunscreen when you're going to spend the entire day in the sun ;) I'm painfully sunburnt. My nose hurts when it wrinkles!

Me time

My husband just left and he took all the kids... YIPPIE! They're going to his parents house for supper and he has to help his dad with some stuff. I didn't want to go and I have tons of stuff here that I need to do. I'm trying to get ready for the yard sale this saturday. I had a friend come by today to get a few things b/c she'll be out of town this weekend. I have a lot of stuff that needs to be collected for the sale. I also have a ton of laundry that needs my attention and some other basic household chores are screaming my name.

I also just need some ME time. I don't ever have the house to myself.

I've started a new diet/lifestyle change LOL. I'm actually using dexatrim to help out... no lectures please I could careless what you think :) I'm unhappy with my body and I need a boast. I've lost a whole pound since I started (monday). I've had a lot more energy... I'm hardly ever hungry. And I've even thrown in a bit of exercise - WHOA ME! I'm doing tae bo, crunches and push ups. I've also been spending some time in the back yard playing volleyball and bad mitten (i have no idea if thats how its spelled but thats how it sounds!). I have a friend that keeps me in check.... she's lost a lot of weight already. I'll keep you posted from time to time.

I'm glad Sanjaya is gone but I almost teared up... he looked so pitiful when they said his name. Maybe now I can take the show more seriously with him gone. I wonder if the other kids were thinking the same things as the rest of the country.

I hate hearing about the Virginia Tech killings.... but really what frustrates me about it is the media has been blaming the school for not doing more to prevent it... OMG! The media was fussing b/c they didn't warn the students better. Well my goodness how long do you have to wait to give the all clear... I mean the shootings happened TWO HOURS APART! There was no reason to think it was going to happen again!

well i'd better go... i don't wanna waste this opportunity I have right now.

I'M OVER IT

I'm over having to cancel our camping trip. Matthew took off today as planned and we took the boys for their One Year checkup. We also made a trip to Lowe's for paint. I got FLORIDA GATOR BLUE! Matthew took Goose to the vet for her 3rd round of shots. And we've cleaned out the computer room so we can get things ready for our "Arts & Crafts" room. Hopefully by Sunday we'll be done. But we've got a lot to do and with 3 little ones it will be a test. Jessica is going to Elamville with the Brocks for the weekend. She gets braces on Tuesday!

Oh and I'm having a HUGE yard sale next weekend!!!

I DID IT!

I bought some Hollywood Cheesecake Icecream!
And its pretty darn good!
Maybe it will help me wash away my pain of having to cancel our trip!

URGENT

It looks like our camping trip is going to be CANCELED! I'm really bummed but I don't know what to do. The other couple going has pulled out b/c the weather isn't looking so nice for Stone Mountain. Does anyone know of any place around here that has things to do? I need to find somewhere that we can take our kids and they won't be bored. I need a playground or something fun for both, Jessica and Darcy. We've invested way too much money in this trip to have it canceled!!!! My husband has taken off work, my FIL has taken off work to keep the boys on Friday and my parents are staying with the boys all weekend. I've gotta do something for them. Please I'm desperate... and i'm about to cry!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ITS TIME

Finally its time to paint/dye eggs! We only boiled around 20 something. We hid 142 PLASTIC eggs for the big Easter Egg Hunt. We had a great Easter weekend. Our families came over on Sunday for lunch. We watched the kids play and then some of the adults even played a game of volleyball. It was a fun day.

Skill

She's got a serious look on her face! She's working hard on that egg!

Darcy's FIRST egg

She did really well with painting the eggs. She dropped a few and then insisted on "open egg" so she ended up eating a few too!

SMILE

We have a tradition.... we paint our eggs. Some are dyed but most are painted... its way more fun.

I need a break!

After dying eggs these too crashed on the couch! It was a hard job to dye all those eggs!

Us!

I'm not a huge fan of this picture but I guess I needed to post one of us since it had been a while. In the back ground is actually across the street. They've been putting in city sewer in our neighborhood and this is their home base.

Uncle Tony and Aunt Nee Nee

Tony cooked the chicken while we hunted for eggs.
I can't remember how far along Renee is but this shirt is sticking out at the bottom..... not her belly! She's due in late Sept.

Keep Us Moving!

They love the wagon they got from Grandmaw for their b'day.
Everyone took turns pulling them around the yard.
As long as they were moving they were happy!
