All Smiles

I love this picture of Darcy. This definitely captures my happy baby girl! She's got the sweetest smile and the cutest laugh.

Boys Check Up

We took the boys to their check up earlier this week. They both weighted 27.6. Jeremiah is 33 1/2 inches tall and Jacob is 33 even. They have all their teeth except their 2 year molars. Everything checked out good.

Guess Who!

Guess who played in their poo poo diaper today?!?!?!
Its not the usual suspect!
JACOB DID!!
Yep I'd been downstairs in my office and I'd heard him upstairs but he wasn't crying so I let him play. Its not unusual for them to hang out in their cribs in the morning. When I went upstairs to get him I could smell a dirty diaper. When I opened the door he was doing his normal jig... jumping up in down in his crib smiling at me - diaperless!!!!!!!! He had poo smeared on his face, walls, hands and crib. His little sheets had skid marks all over them. As gross as it sounds I just laughed. I cleaned him up, the walls and crib. Oh what fun!

Girl Get it Right!

Lindsay Lohan is back in drug rehab. Not sure which one she's in this time but maybe it will have a different affect on her than the last few she's been in. Poor girl! I was really hoping she'd make it this time. I wonder what they do in those places? Does she get counseling for life problems or just her addictions??? Some of those places are sooo nice that I might need to go!

A long time coming

Matthew and I are way overdo for a vacation. I am all the time searching on the internet for Pigeon Forge vacation rentals. We LOVE the mountains. This september will be our FOUR year anniversary. Each year we've planned a trip to the mountains but each year something has come up. Our very first anniversary we had a cabin payed for but that was the time I was pregnant with Darcy and was having complications so we had to cancel. Every year after that something has come up and we've had to cancel. Now at this point we probably wouldn't be able to find anyone to keep our kids! Guess we'll have to make it a family vacation - which is fine by us!

Remodeling the Bathroom

One of the things on our 'To Do List' is to remodel the downstairs bathroom. I want to tile the floor, put in a new vanity, replace all the bathroom faucets, new lighting fixture, new window treatments and paint. I know this is going to take some time and MONEY but hopefully one day I can do it. As of right now its got a yucky floor, a greenish/brownish paint, a border, a big oversized vanity that's WHITE, and a ugly... I mean UGLY lighting fixture. I'm not sure what kind of look I want in there... maybe a little country... but not cows and roaster's country. More like a elegant country flare... who knows! LOL

Cool Stuff

Have you ever heard of Wiley X?
Me either!
They're actually motorcycle glasses. You can get them in your prescription too! They protect your eyes from dust, wind and water. They have some that darken in the sunlight leaving less of a glare on the road. They have a lifetime warranty. They can be used for many different things... boating, shooting and many other outdoor high speed adventures. I might even considering getting my dad a pair... he's a huge fisherman and the glare on the water is horrible. They're priced very reasonably.

Fat March

Did anyone else catch that last night? I loved it! But of course Matthew thought it was dumb. I can't wait to see how much weight they lose. Hopefully, unless hurt, they will not vote anyone else off but I'm sure thats not going to be the case. I was glad to see Kim leave. Although it would have been nice to see her have a new appreciation for all the comforts she has in her 'gated community.' I don't remember her... do you?

gotta run!

busy day... boys have their 15 month old check up today (yes i know... they're 16 months). Jessica has volleyball and I have to go to the post office!

Silly Girl

Last night when we tucked in Darcy she kept asking "wanna lay down with meeee?" We didn't. About five minutes later we hear her coming down the hall. She opens the door and says "I lay in momma's bed!" So we made room for her but she wasn't really ready to go to sleep. She kept playing and we were both tired. She sang. She counted. She hid under the covers. Finally she said "I sleep in Darcy's bed" and she crawled out of the bed. She dropped her cup and couldn't find it. Its pretty dark in our room. She would grab something and say "oh what's this?" followed by "its a shoe!" This went on for a few rounds. She got to the door and pretended she couldn't open it. She finally insisted that "Daddy turn on da lights!" He turned on the lights and she was grinning from ear to ear. She said "night night momma, night night daddy" and out she went. After closing the door she yelled through the bottom of door to "turn off da lights daddy!" She's a mess! We were laughing at her long after she left.
Sometimes when we're trying to discipline her she'll say the cutest things and it makes it sooo hard to follow through. She's been known to spout of things like...
"You hurt my feelings"
"I not wanna spankin! It hurts!"
"don't spank me, puuulease!"
"I don't wanna sit in time out!"
and once she's in time out we hear
"I wanna go night night"
Other sweet things she does is call her brothers "brothers"... its so cute. She also calls them by their name and sometimes actually gets it right. She loves to make them laugh. She loves to love on us. She rubs noses. She loves to tickle her daddy. If someone calls her anything like honey, baby, silly goose, etc. she'll correct them and say "i'm not honey, I'm Darcy!"
Just now she came in here and grabbed something. I said Darcy get back here with that. She responded with "I gotta wook at sompting" (translation- I got to look at something).
She's a HOOT!

I forgot

I forgot to tell ya that Jacob is finally walking. He's been walking for about 2 weeks now. Jeremiah walks circles around him but at least he's walking. He still crawls too. When Jeremiah figured out how to walk he never went back to crawling but Jacob does them both.

THATS MINE!

This is Jacob (orange) & Jeremiah (blue) fighing over a cup. They are always trying to take something away from one another.... actually JEREMIAH is always trying to take something away from Jacob! Jacob most of the time just lets him have it and goes on about his business but not this time... if its food or a sippy cup he'll put up a fight!

MAPQUEST

Friday I worked for my mom's boss. They had me take donuts to all their big clients. I started on one side of town and made a huge loop. It took me all day! I planned out my route before I left the office. I used mapquest to get me from place to place. One trip was from Pinson to Trussville. It was to take about 10 minutes. I had the bosses daughter with me so we were talking and I didn't realize how long it had been. Finally I said something wasn't right. I called my dad and it was about the same time that I noticed a high school... It was Oneonta High School. Well if you're from around here you know that I was not anywhere near Trussville. Instead of driving EAST I was going NORTHEAST! The worst part was there was no way to get to Trussville without turning back and going all the way back to pinson and starting over!!!!!!

Thats not the first time Mapquest has given me the WRONG directions!

Looking Back...

Not a lot to report on. I feel like my blog is getting pretty boring these days. But just in case someone is still reading I will post for YOU!

Matthew and I were able to do some stuff in my office over the weekend. We put the shelves up in the closet and I was able to go through a bunch of junk. I got sidetracked by boxes of pictures and spent some time going through them. You might see some of them on here :)

We went to church on Sunday. Matthew played his guitar during P&W. He loved it. They loved it. And I'm pretty sure it will be a regular thing :)

Jessica has volleyball practice every day until school starts back. They practice in the mornings from 8 - 9am. She spent the night with my parents last night so I didn't have to take her. But I had to pick her up. On my way there this morning I witnessed a car wreck. Well actually I had turned around to check on the kids when I heard it. I turned back around just in time to see the two cars spinning across the road in opposite directions. I pulled over to check on them. I called 911. Both ladies were not hurt but just shaken up a bit. I had to leave them b/c I had all the kids and needed to pick up jessica... besides I wouldn't have been any help to the police since I didn't actually see the wreck. From what I can tell the one car was in the turning lane to make a left turn across traffic. The other car was in on coming traffic. The lady in the turning lane tried to beat the traffic but instead got nailed. It was LOUD.

Things are coming together for our 'start date' on wednesday. Still trying to work out a few bugs in the system but I think its all going to be fine. I'm really looking foward to it.

Well I've gotta run... Jessica has an orthodonist appointment this afternoon and I'd better take a shower while the boys are napping.

Ebay

Here we go again with ebay... I sold some cd's and dvd's on ebay a few years back and did great. So now I'm attempting to sell my children's clothing. Any tips or suggestions? After uploading the pictures I realized I should iron the clothes next time :) LOL I'll learn!

My little office

My office is very cozy. Its bigger than any other office I've had :) I have a great little reception desks thats the perfect size. There's even room on one side of my desk to set up my sewing machine when I have time.

My boss was very impressed with my set up here. He didn't even seem to mind the Gator decor. I'm still haven't gotten all of my office supplies yet but soon... very soon. I'm working tomorrow for my mom's company. Did I mention my mom's company will soon be my competition - LOL. This isn't the first time we've been in this situation.

Thats a first

I'd never heard of muscle milk. I looked it up and this is what it says...

Its an "evolutionary" muscle formula promoting efficient fat burning, lean muscle growth and fast recovery from exercise. Metabolically favorable ingredients stimulate growth and recovery in a similar manner to mother's milk nourishing a baby.

My husband used to drink some sort of protein shakes after he worked out. Most shakes are to build muscle but I need to something that would help me lose the weight first. This seems like it would do both. I might have to try this out.

technology these days

I remember when walkman's came out... the ones that played casette tapes. Then I remember when the CD walkmans came out. We just thought those were the coolest things ever. But now they have MP3 player. They can hold hundreds of songs. They're small and light. They's no skipping like the good ole walkmans would do. I see people with them all the time... working out, grocery shopping and walking. I've borrowed Matthew's a few times to keep me company during one of my midnight walmart trips... its great! Do you have one? Do you use as much as you thought you would? I'm seriously asking this b/c I've thought about asking for one for my birthday but don't want to waste money on it if I won't use it.

In the news

So how do you feel about whats going on with Lindsay Lohan? She needs some serious help. I don't know what its like to be in her shoes but apparently its more than her and many others can handle. She needs addiction treatment along with some straight up counseling. Her poor family seems all jacked up. Look at her dad. I don't know whats going to happen to her but I hate to see this young, talented girl lose it all over drugs. This is waaay beyond a Paris Hilton thing... she's got to be accountable for her actions. What would you suggest?

this and that

Today the attorney I will be working for came by to see my 'office' and to do some things on my computer. He's a really nice guy. We talked about church and we agree about the entertainment part of it. Its nice to work for someone who is a christian. Tonight I actually got a prayer request from him by email. neat huh. I really feel like this job is an answer to prayer... its a dream job. Thank you Jesus!

Darcy has been under my skin all day today. She stayed right under us while my boss was here which isn't unusual for her when someone new is around. But then this evening she was bouncing off the walls!!!! We invited my parents down for dinner and they even made a comment about her being WIRED. There were times where we needed to discipline her but we couldn't keep a straight face. She's a mess!!!!!! I've never seen her act like that before.

We thawed out the AC unit last night but didn't realize we could turn it back on afterwards. I must have misunderstood my dad cause I thought he said something totally different. We were miserable last night. All of our bedrooms are upstairs (except Jessica's and she had spent the night with her nanna). We all slept with our doors open (thats a first!). It was too hot and muggy outside to open the windows.... we just stuck it out! Today when I talked to my dad he informed me that I could turn it back on but it would freeze back up again if I didn't watch it. I decided that I'd leave it off until closer to bedtime so hopefully it would work throughout the night. So far so good.

Well I guess I should try and go to sleep. I've been having trouble sleeping at night... I slept best early in the mornings but unfortunately the babies don't give me enough 'sleep in' time. We're normally up anywhere from between 8:00 & 9:30 which I know is good compared to a lot of mom's I know who's children wake up EARLY!!!! I'm grateful, really I am.

night night
