What a Wonderful Day!

I woke up at 6:30 this morning to go garage selling with Lisa. Our first stop was to pick up some seasonings at Eric's.... THANK YOU ERIC!!!!!!!! YOU TOTALLY BLESSED ME TODAY!

Then we went to the FREE community yard sale in Calera. OMG!!!!! I got a BRAND NEW pair of Elizabeth Taylor Jeans! Perfect fit!!! We also picked up several other things from there including jeans for Darcy and the boys.

We then headed to Columbiana for a city wide yard sale held on mainstreet - disappointment! But we stopped by a few other places... the quarter store and random yard sales.

THEN we went to Starbucks... Lisa has an addiction to their black tea.

We made a stop by Jeff's farm to pick up some straw to put in my front yard with my scarecrow and pumpkins. I fed the horses and cows... rode the tractor and then we left.

Next we went to a neighborhood yard sale in Alabaster - GREAT STUFF!!!! But by the time we got there car was full! But man if I had the room I would have bought more stuff!!!!!!!

We had a great day and I spent less than $15.00 and got a BUNCH of stuff.

Tonight we're going to some friends house to watch the Florida vs. LSU game... we're taking the kids so that should be interesting since their bedtime is the same time as kick off! LOL

Tomorrow I'm going to my sister's. Darcy and the boys will meet their new cousin. I'm skipping out on a bridal tea and I'll probably catch H E double L from my mom but oh well... I'd rather see my sister and nephew!!!!

Thats all folks! Thanks for reading!

Another Freecycle Idiot

Here's the first email sent out to freecycle from this lady

I have 40+ pieces of clothing including track suits, dresses, sleepers, pants and tops. These range from play to very goodcondition and most pieces are suitable for the colder weatherapproaching, but there are also some spring/summer clothes included.Pick up is in Alabaster.

I replied...
I have a little girl that would love the new clothes. I try and buy a lotof things off of ebay but always anything free is better when you have FOURkids to clothe. I can pick up in Alabaster this afternoon if you still havethem available. Thanks!

The next email sent out to the group was hers saying...
TAKEN PPU
Thank you for your responses! These clothes have been promised pending pick up. If it falls through, I will contact the next thatresponded.Thank you!

Then the next email I get from her is...
Hi. I was just wondering if you were still planning to come this afternoonto pick up these clothes. Thank you

So I reply...
You never replied to my email. The next email I got from you was to the entire group saying they've been taken PPU. I had no idea that I was the first to respond. I've alredy been to Alabaster today but can pick them up tomorrow if thats okay.

Did I miss something here???? Am I stupid???? C'mon!

Jessica's speech

Jessica is writing a speech on who she admires and why. Guess who she chose? Matthew. Isn't that sweet?!?! Last night on the way home from her game she was practicing and it almost made me cry but that wouldn't have been cool so I held back. She's starting her speech by describing the moment he gave her a ring during our wedding and what he said to her. She made a few points about how he has been the only daddy to her. She told a few stories too. One of the stories she's telling is how when she was really sick while we were still dating he decided he'd stay home with her b/c i had started a new job and couldn't take off. She described how they played board games like Candy Land, trouble, sorry and connect four all day and he never got tired of playing with her even when she cheated. Its going to be a great speech... I just wish I could video it or something but that would make her really nervous. She's got a little choked up while she was giving it. sweet kid.

You tell me...

Sunday while we were out side a TINY little puppy came to our fence trying to get in. Eventually we brought the puppy inside our fence b/c we didn't want anything to happen to it. It looks like a Jack Russell mix... its really small. Jessica and Zac knocked on a few doors asking if it belonged to anyone but no luck. So we decided to hold on to it until we could find the owner. Later that night I was getting something out of my car when I heard a neighbor calling for it. I asked him if it was his and he said yes... i told him that we had it all day b/c we didn't know who it belonged to and we were afraid something would happen to it. He didn't say Thank You or anything.

Yesterday, the dog finds a way into our backyard. Jessica knocked on their door but no one was home. So the dog spent the entire day at our house. We'd put it outside of the gate and it would reappear. Last night Jessica took it home and told the folks it had gotten in our gate. Again... nothing from them.

This morning I hear this high pitch barking... The dog is on my back porch INSIDE my gate again!!!! What am I supposed to do???? This is a really small puppy. And normally I wouldn't care but b/c people tend to fly down our road its just not safe. Why would they buy a brand new puppy and leave it outside all day???? I don't understand? Why not kennel it or put it on a leash or something????? I really don't like the fact that it keeps getting into my yard but there's nothing I can do... its a puppy... they dig and tear up things... I really want this dog to stay at his own house but I don't really want to cause any problems with the neighbors. Any suggestions????

Cody News!

I don't know where you stand with Jesus but I'm just going to say that GOD IS GOOD!!!! And I know HE had his hands in this situation. I've been sending you guys emails about my nephew, Cody... some of you got them b/c you're family and some got them b/c I needed prayer warriors (some are both).

We've had a very emotional week filled with ups and downs. But today I have GREAT NEWS!!! Cody's test all came back fine. The adnormalites found earlier are gone. They're going to keep him a few more days while he comes off the medicine they've had him on. He is eating, gaining weight and doing WELL.

Thank you for all of your prayers!
Nicole
